You add so much wisdom to these hockey threads.

After seeing what Haley did to two other guys, I'd have been off the bench, too. That guy is a monster the likes of which I haven't seen since the year Colton Orr played in Providence.

Emery would have looked for anybody but the goalie.

I had no idea Haley had even made it to the NHL. Remember seeing him play a lot in the OHL with St. Mike's and Sarnia. JR and HC might have been here the day he came off the Sarnia bench to get into it with Nick Duff.

I just find it pathetic that Trevor Gillies gets a lesser suspension for what he did than Godard gets for what he did. Maybe that's why Mario is pissed off.

I think Mario has every right to be pissed but it is a little hypocritical when you employ the biggest POS in the league. Where was Mario after any of Cooke's transgressions.

When Cooke starts punching someone whom he's injured, then taunts that person from the gate while they're crumpled on the ice, then we'll have a fair comparison.

Say what you want about Cooke, and most if not all of it will be true, but he'll probably score more goals this season than Gillies has had in all levels of hockey in the last 16 years. The fact that Gillies is even in the NHL is a disgrace.

    I do remember it.

Speaking of great Nick Duff moments, who can forget the Dufftrick?

Guy had, what, 2 goals in his entire OHL career and managed a hat trick against I've forgotten who. I remember Wolski did everything but pick up the puck and put it on Duff's stick so he could get that third one.

Other favourite moment was the night Oreskovic lumbered in on a breakaway. Guy was so damn slow, I could have caught him from my set up in Section 6.

Well, Godard gets an automotic ten for leaving the bench. It's in the rule book. I bet if it weren't he probably would have gotten half that.

ths dissapointing part is that Cooke was suspended for this game. That is the type of game Cooke would have got what was coming to him.

I know it's an automatic 10, but the opportunity was there to really put the hammer down on an idiot like Gillies and the league, as it so often does, missed the boat.

The sucker punch on Talbot was also worth far more than four games, in my opinion.
