The Ottawa-Toronto game was the worst NHL game I have seen in several years. Zzzzzzzzz.

Yes I know, Oilers fanboi here, but it's time for your monthly bit of optimism from Central Alberta. Not only did the Oilers put together their first three game winning streak yesterday, but Taylor Hall absolutely took over in the third period. Hes shown glimpses of that all year, but yesterday was different. After he scored his second goal there was no doubt he would get the hat trick. And no, none of the goals were highlight reel worthy but they didn't need to be. It was just something else to watch. A bright spot in a rather dreary season. Draft lottery here we come.

You may now return to your regular programing of discussing the plight of the Capitals, head shots and fights, and watching Burke tear down the Maple Leafs again and restart the rebuilding process basically making their last couple of seasons a wash, especially if rumours are true and he is actually shopping Kessel.

    And go!

    WTF?

Why are they doing the US national anthem at a game in Canada between two Canadian teams?

    To appease American viewers?

Suprised the Canadian Air Force used all of its planes for the flyover.

JR says for the same reason that they sing the Canadian anthem at the New Year's Classic game when it's two American teams - a tribute to ALL teams in the league.

OK, I was watching the tennis match -- is there a reason they aren't using a zamboni?

And the Sabres play both anthems at all their home games, regardless of the opponent.

It may be that about 25% of their season ticket holders are Canucks. :)

Yes. It's so cold they were afraid the weight of the Zamboni would crack the ice.

What do you think of the Flamers "heritage" unis? I kinda like 'em--the white pants are spectacular. HC thinks they're ugly as hell

That makes sense then. Didn't realize they did O Canada at the Winter Classics as well.

    Like Calgary unis.

    Love the Canadiens' goalie mask.

Those Flames uniforms are hideous. Absolutely, unequivocally awful.

Flames win 4-0 over the Habs

Curtis Glencross greeted Mike Cammalleri in the handshake line by saying, "Hey, midget."

    Mike laughed.
