Brian Runge just fucked the Cubs by blowing a not-exactly bang-bang call at first base.

He immediately made up for it by ejecting Carlos Silva during the ensuing argument.

Why is it every time someone mentions Miguel Cabrera's name, they add in "potential Triple Crown winner?" I remember hearing it for years about Pujols as well. Howsabout we let a guy actually lead the league in all three categories at one time before we start talking about him doing it at season's end?

Ways Rangers show they are serious about contending: Trade for Cliff Lee
Ways Rangers show they aren't serious about contending: go into the all-star break getting swept at home by the worst team in baseball.

lisa, Lee wasn't exactly dumped by any of these teams. The Indians were unloading salary when they traded him to the Phillies last year. The Phillies decided they couldn't pay both Halladay and Lee, so they chose Halladay, which makes sense.

The Mariners added Lee for this season because they thought they could contend. They are 18 games below .500 right now, so that isn't going to happen. The guy was going to be a free agent, so they traded him for a very nice package.

Point being, there were reasons for every one of those deals that have nothing to do with Boras or anything Lee might have done. Now that isn't to say that those aren't factors as well, but there are baseball reasons for those deals.

Nice of Bo to wear the Royals gear on the anniversary of his MVP Award. Must be playing first because the lack of current day mobility, Steve Garvey's kid is running for him

True, but Cabrera is leading two categories right now, and within two HRs in the third.

Probably should wait until August though before talking Triple Crown.
