Your joke was not lost on me, sir. Well done.

And do they still tell the one about Leon Durham and the train?

White Sox are in first place after going 25-5 in last 30. Absolutely insane.

I flipped to the ESPN Wednesday night game this week.

I heard Berman laboring through a sentence. I turned the channel as fast as I could.

Jake, that is an amazing turnaround. I just wonder what happens now that Peavy is gone. The only other change is Quentin tearing it up. Quentin can't stay this hot the entire second half, can he? Can he even stay healthy?

Fixed. (Unless they've scrapped the swap-out agreement.)

Cuban is as accessible and willing to talk as any owner in sports, so it honestly could have been anyone.

Cuban owning the Rangers would go over like a lead balloon. He has passion for the Mavs, but none for the Rangers. It's just a bargain-bin business deal for him.

Now if he wanted to partner with Greenberg and Ryan ... that's different.

ESPN reported the Cuban group last night during Dodgers-Cubs. Also mentioned MLB strongly favoring Nolan Ryan's group, having rejected Cuban's bid to buy the Cubs.

Which is why this whole auction thing is a farce.

They'd better be careful about saying stuff like that on ESPN. A U.S. bankruptcy judge can and will overrule MLB if he/she so wishes.
