Wait, there's still shit. Just no Berman. Which makes it better.

Ryan's group is now suing the Rangers for backing out on the sale agreement they had previously reached with the team.

Here's an idea that might make the HR Derby a little more watchable. Instead of Berman doing his tired "back-back-back" act 100 times, why not bring in each hitter's local broadcast guy? You get some different perspectives during the dead time, talk about how each guy and team is doing, and hear a few different signature home run calls instead of the same one over and over.
At the very least it would break up the monotony, right?

Why not stop calling them as if they're actual home runs. There's nothing dramatic about Vernon Wells hitting two homers in the opening round.

I can see getting into it if the guy is closing in on the leader or setting some record or moving on to the next round.

But to call every homer as if it's a game-winner is ridiculous.

Corey 'I wear my sunglasses at night' Hart goes for 13 dingers!

Berman shouted that Hart hit one that was on its way to San Juan Capistrano. It would have had to circle the globe to reach SJC, which is about 25 miles the other direction.
Left field is north of home plate, SJC is south.

The Peavy thing is very worrisome, especially since he was starting to get it together. I think Hudson will be solid though, so it shouldn't hurt too much.
And I think that while Quentin will cool down a bit, your second question largely answers the first.

Jake, that would be my issue. Quentin seems to have figured out whatever was wrong when he sucked for much of the first half, but he has never been able to stay healthy for a full season.
