Jason Heyward with a game-winning RBI double tonight for the Braves, who are now 20-20. On April 30, they were 8-14.

The Braves are second in scoring in the NL (behind only the Phillies) for the month of May. Considering they're still getting very little from Brian McCann, Chipper Jones or Yunel Escobar (though McCann and Jones had big hits tonight), this is an intriguing team going forward.

Storen! First win tonight - and I was there. Hope to see history again very soon. Another AAA shutout for The Man tonight.

    Oh. Before I forget:

    15-15

    Dear Pirates,
Yeah, he gave up a run tonight. Still got a save. Still perfect there.
Have we said thank you yet?
    Love,
    The Nats

I would have guessed Angel Hernandez, but Bucknor is always a good guess too.

Watching A's-Tigers right now (Verlander vs. Braden, 0-0 through five) and it's funny how much the A's are milking Braden's perfect game. For one upcoming game they're giving away free commemorative T-shirts.
For another they're giving away commemorative tickets -- from the May 9 perfect game. Since there were approximately 50,000 left over, I suppose they just gussied them up. It's good to know that if you invent attend that giveaway day, then invent a time machine, you can get a 2-for-1 deal.

That was brutal. A 3-run double to Yuniesky Betancourt? Really???

It's clear that Chris Perez is the better pitcher at this point, but they're paying Wood too much money not to be the closer. Maybe they should just trade him to the Phillies and be done with it ...

If Washington had been tossed for questioning the call I would have guessed Angel.

He really pitched another shutout? That's unbelievable.

How'd the knuckleballer look for the Mets? How'd the catcher do?

The 35-year-old knuckleballer with no ulnar ligament in his pitching arm was mediocre. The Mets suck. But they did make a little history tonight:

First time since 1955 a player -- Angel Pagan -- hit an inside-the-park home run and initiated a triple play in the same game.

But because they suck soooo bad, the Mets still found a way to lose.

Why is Doug Eddings still allowed to call MLB games?

The Brewers surge towards last place in a suck-ass division continues unabated.

From Tom Haudricourt's blog ... I'll give Randy Wolf points for seeing the obvious.
