I heard Danley wasn't too great either, but I don't want to rip him because we're from the same alma mater.

Want to know why Hanley Ramirez did such a quick about-face and apologized to his teammates? According to the Palm Beach Post's Joe Capozzi, it might have been because of a closed door meeting with Hall of Famers (and Marlins special assistants) Andre Dawson and Tony Perez:

    Long live The Hawk!

Incredibly dumb for Hawk to walk out of a presumably private, closed-door meeting then give Capozzi a detailed account about it.

Another crazy win for the Braves. Seven runs in the ninth to beat the Reds 10-9, including a walk-off grand slam off Francisco Cordero by Brooks Conrad, who had replaced Chipper Jones in the lineup because the game was a blowout.

Tommy Hanson didn't make it through two innings, and Atlanta trailed 8-0 at one point. Un-fucking-believable!

I still don't know who Brooks Conrad is. :D

    Neither do I, really.

By the way, Conrad's homer went off Laynce Nix's glove and went over the fence.

Yeah, I was watching. I couldn't tell if the wall knocked it loose (if he ice-cream-coned it) or if it just went off the top. Either way, embarrassing ninth inning.

The Braves had a 9-game losing streak this year. Before and after that, they've essentially played .667 ball.

The Braves have also got three straight walk-off wins and four on the seven-game homestand that wrapped up today. Today's win put them over .500 at 21-20.

They also play six of their next nine against the Pirates, so I'm feeling pretty good about things. :)

From the AP gamer on Braves-Reds:

Except the Braves rallied from seven down today. FAIL.
