And it was the worst-hit ball of the night for the Phillies. Spent the first seven innings sending rockets at fielders and then a blooper does the damage.

Encarcion has another one tonight. So does Aaron Hill, and the Jays have trimmed an 8-1 eighth-inning deficit to 8-5. The Jays have hit 74 home runs in 45 games.

    Dear Pirates,
Golly gee willikers! We just can't say it enough.
    Thank you SO much.
We might, however, be starting to be a little less excited about the whole Nyjer Morgan thing.
    But that Capps guy?

Just watched the Morgan play from last night. I got no problem with it. He thought it was a home run and he showed his frustration. I'm no less excited about Morgan than I was two days ago. Still one of my favorite Nats.

Of course, it helps that the Nats won. :)

Me? Part of me would cut Morgan. He gave up on that play. I guess we'll agree to disagree. :)

And you're right, the Nats did win, so it wasn't like it cost them the NL East.

I thought leaving Strasburg down in the minors for a few weeks did that already.

No, it didn't. But keep making things up if it helps you to get through the day.

Matt Capps is human after all.

I wonder if Moddy wants to send him back.
