Word. Amazing what happens when all those hits aren't singles.

    Kendry Morales is a moron.

Hits a walk-off grand slam to win the game today, then hurts himself celebrating. Looks bad. I saw one picture that made it look like his foot was facing the wrong direction. Say goodbye to the Angels (and at least one of my fantasy teams) if it is as bad as it looks.

Sorry, Jeff. Great column, but baseball DOES have a problem with its umpiring crew. So many of them are arrogant assholes that want to inject themselves into the game like Joe West. Hopefully this sends an example.

I'm really not enjoying this season much.

That mob-the-runner-at-home-plate celebration thing has always struck me as kind of foolish, and just begging for someone to get hurt.

Idiots. He jumped up to land on the plate. But some of the crowd bumped into him before he landed, knocking him off-balance and he landed wrong.

And Torii Hunter left in the third inning after taking a Felix Hernandez fastball flush on his left hand.

Dontrelle Willis DFAed as the Tigers bring back Max Scherzer, who will start Sunday's game.

Well how utterly predictable was that? Roughly 24 hours after they post 12 runs and 20 hits, the Royals get goose-egged, 1-0 ... and, of course, Zack Greinke was on the mound.

Better dart for cover next time he's in a lightning storm. (too soon?)

Rare is the pitcher who shuts down his own team more often than he does the one he's facing. I believe that's now three losses (two this season) over the past two years where he's allowed just one run. The difference last night was that he didn't throw a complete game.

    Feeling my fantasy-baseball-related pain, eh?

Now that I've seen the clip, he really didn't do anything all that unusual. It was dumb, but it was a dumb thing we see players do all the time. Just a freak thing, but it's one that cost his team (and fantasy baseball owners everywhere) dearly.
