All the barbs directed at Morales seem a little harsh. Every game-winning homer in baseball the last three or four years has been celebrated this way. So he's dumb because he got injured and guys who don't get injured aren't?

No, steak, the home-plate celebrations are dumb....damn high school kids don't get as carried away with the celebration as the supposed professionals do.
Time to end this childish stupidity in MLB.

I agree, but it's not like Morales did anything dozens of other guys haven't done this season. If you want to say baseball players in general are morons, I probably would agree with you. But I think it's unfair to single out Morales just because he got hurt.

Grady Sizemore will have knee surgery and is out up to eight weeks.

Hope this guy isn't done ... pretty dynamic player when healthy.

One of Mike Sweeney's long list of injuries started with overly jovial back-slapping in the middle of one of those home-plate scrums.

Two straight years now he's missed significant time with injuries. Don't remember exactly what the problem was last year. Might have been an ankle. But still there has to be some durability questions now.

Actually, he had two separate injuries last season, both of which required surgery -- an elbow problem and a hernia.

I don't know what happened to Alex Rios, but I like it.

I finally gave up on Rios in fantasy baseball. You're welcome.

    You mean before this year?

Yup. Had him on a keeper-league team for a while. Frustrated the hell out of me. Finally cut him loose this past offseason. Whoops.
