Paul Hewitt to St. John's would set off a celebration ... in Atlanta.

Seth Greenberg would make a lot of sense, even moreso given Virginia Tech's NCAA snuff. I read your points, MMII - all of them - and while they're legit, right now Seth has to feel like he pays the heavy price of playing in the ACC while reaping none of the benefits.

Plus, Greenberg is from the area. Think he couldn't help what Norm Roberts started to rebuild? For whatever SJU faithful want to say, he helped repair the damage Mike Jarvis reportedly did when he blew off the area high school and AAU programs.

Is this Northern Iowa guy on the list for the Iowa?

Ben Jacobson was always on the short list of candidates.
He's being touted, along with Keno Davis for the Iowa job. And then on Friday, there was rumors that if Tubby left Minny and went to Auburn, "Jake" would be on Joel Maturi's list of candidates.

He served under Greg McDermott until Mac went to Iowa State.
After seeing what Mac is going through in Ames, I doubt it Jake wants to leave Cedar Falls-Waterloo to move up.

You don't think he is a good coach?

I think he runs a gimmick system that will be exposed in the Big 10.

Much like it's being exposed at Providence.

Personally Armchair, I don't Keno should leave Providence. Tim Welch didn't leave much and it's going to be a tough haul for Keno. He took his old man's advice: take the money, and he did.

Only the delusional Iowa fan wants Keno, Pearl, or Jacobson to be new head Hawkeye. Keno coming back would signal the cold war between Dr. Tom and Iowa over, now that Bowlsby is at Stanford now. Pearl and Jake are the fan favorites.

Armchair, I want the right guy to run the hoops program, not the popular guy.

Who has the philosophy that fits what Iowa does, and how to built a system with kids like Matt Gatens, Cully Payne, and Aaron Fuller.

If I hear Marty Tirrell's stupid ass mentione Jacobson one more time, I will go apeshit. He's not coming and Keno would be foolish to bail out of Providence.

They need to hire the guy at Grinnell. They'd be Loyola of the Cornfields.

Why wouldn't Jacobson go to Iowa?

What's the over/under on how many schools are going to now make a bid for Jacobson?
