McMurray's one of the nicest guys in NAPSCAR, bar none.

Could not be any happier for him (of course, I punted him out of my fantasy lineup ten minutes before the deadline...arrrrgh!).

And a surprisingly good showing from Martin Kotex, Jr. I'm glad he didn't win, so we didn't have to bear witness to Mikey Waltrip fellating him in front of the Sprint girl (fucking YUM) in victory lane.

Brad Kause'emallski certainly lived up to form, huh?

I like you as a person, but you are full of fail and Dead. To. Me!

    Great finish, two hours delayed.

Tickets on sale for Atlanta tomorrow at the price equivalent to the winner's car number. (Not a joke.)

They do that every year, 2much. And every year, they kick themselves that The Carl doesn't show up in victory lane till Meeshigan.

Started that last year. I was openly rooting for Truex to win it last year. This works, too.

Old pavement (literally, 1978. I was in fifth grade). Lots of rain the past couple of weeks (see also: Friday). Track president who insists the pavement is fine, despite all the bumps, cracks and the fancy new pothole.

Be tough to pave it immediately, too. Bike Week starts in two weeks; fortunately, the motorcycles don't use that turn for the spring races anymore. Richard Petty Driving Experience runs at the speedway almost every week. NASCAR and Grand Am are both there in July. The Central Florida chapter of the SCCA has an event scheduled at DIS the first weekend of May the first weekend of August, end of September and the second weekend of October (CFRSCCA only runs Daytona and Sebring). Right after that October race, Daytona has more motorcycle races.

Somebody's in for some bad news if sanity prevails.

Also, Robin Braig says he is really, really, really, really, really really, really, really, really, really, really sorry.

This race went on so long, I half expected to see a commercial wishing Joey Logano a happy 28th birthday from the 300,000 associates of Home Depot.

This was almost as embarrassing as IndyTireGate. Spend a fuckin' nickel or two and repave that sucka.

Ha ha. A great moment, getting my first Dead. To. Me. :)

I didn't like the finish because artificially adding laps to get a green checkered is as false a drama as the debris caution. Especially when you have to do it twice after an excruciatingly long race.

I've never liked adding laps to have a green checkered. To me, it would be like deciding to wipe out an interception on 3rd down on the opposing team's 35 to give a team a shot at the game-winning field goal because it would be more dramatic.

If there's a yellow on lap 199, then the race should end in yellow on 200. None of this fake laps so we can have a nice finish.

    They used Bondo:

We used Bondo and sometimes that works, and it did. We mixed up batches of Bondo, we were all mixing.

Side note: Bondo used to sponsor the ARCA series. :D

I love finding alternative uses or applications for products.

If I'm running Bondo I am getting the sales force on this in the morning. It's a whole new market for Bondo!
