Vol, you're right...to an extent. Keslowski is a major league *sshat. But you simply DON'T do it...at 195+....down the front stretch at Atlanta. No way.

Slightly better than it did for Earnhardt....

That was figuratively next week, not literally.
Actually, it works out well for me. I'll be at Bristol and now have easy column fodder.

It was a bullshit move by Edwards.

I don't even like Keselowski, and I was strangely angry about the stunt.

Is Keselowski too aggressive? Yes. But Edwards could have seriously hurt someone today.

NASCAR can't suspend Edwards because of the stupid ass decision to let drivers "police themselves."

But I think a serious points penalty is in order for one of the most reckless stunts I've seen in NASCAR's top series.

Sidestepping all the interpersonal history between Edwards and Keselowski and the fact that no one was seriously hurt, I'll ask the question: How is Edwards' move different from Steve Bertouzzi's? I'm thinking he should be arrested for ADW. Forget one week. NASCAR should pull his plug for the year and send him off for anger management counseling.

His crash in Michigan in 1994 was in practice. Right front went down, not aggressive driving. I was in the garage area that morning.

    He also did this:

    Just sayin'.

Now, now. That was just boys "having at it." Boys will be boys, after all.

The "let the drivers police themselves" strategy made good copy for Nascar at January media days but is completely irresponsible in a race. Nascar changes the rules all the time as it goes along anyway; it really needs to here.

  11. I was thinking about that this morning. Say the 12 went into the grandstands and people got hurt or somebody got killed. Would Edwards face criminal charges?
There was no doubt of his intent. I could easily see reckless endangerment.

  12. Wasn't speaking specificially to the crash that KO'd his career.
