Agreed. This deal with him requesting a an hour prime time TV special is just insanely egotistical.

But it also tells me he's staying in Cleveland. The only way that can conceivably work on any level is if he's made the sentimental choice to remain with the hometown long-suffering city that so desperately needs him.

He'd look like the king douchebag in the history of douchebags if he uses that primetime special just to announce that he's dumping Cleveland to go glitz it up in South Beach. I'd think his people would have enough sense to at least understand that much.

As a Bucks fan, I'm disappointed there was no "Drew Gooden: The Decision" show.

    I'll co-sign that. :)

Why would LeBrett drag things out to this extent if he's staying put? Just because he can?

So the fact that LeBron can't win a championship with shit surrounding him (pretty much exactly like Kobe) makes Kobe better?

Just a few thoughts on the Bucks that one other person might care about:
I like the moves they made but am slightly apprehensive. They seemed to gel so well last year, but they clearly do need more reliable scoring. I think Maggette does that, but if he doesn’t buy into the team concept it won’t work. I like Gooden a lot. Bogut desperately needs another decent big body. If Maggette thinks he can play one way under Skiles, his ass will be on the bench, regardless of his salary. It’s tough not to like the team the Bucks have on paper. Just about every spot is a player very capable of contributing.

    Jennings
    Delfino
    Ilyasova
    Bogut
    Salmons
    Maggette
    Gooden
    Douglas Roberts
    Mbah a Moute
    And the rookie Sanders

That’s some good depth, though I hate losing Luke Ridnour. Whoever grabs him is really getting a great player.

It’s actually exciting to be a fan again. It’s amazing how quickly John Hammond and Skiles got this rolling.

...Carry on with the LeBron show...

Because ESPN and everyone else are enabling him.

While both are certainly more recognizable than Wade, I'm not really sure either is that much better, if at all.

This is going to be bigger than the OJ verdict announcement.

Awwww, LeBron doesn't have a silly supporting cast. Cry me a river. That "shit" around him was there when they had the league's best record during the regular season, too.

    Try again.

    The moon landing, too.

And you'd both be wrong. How soon folks forget those 34-48 and 42-40 Laker seasons during that brief period when Kobe had the same sort of supporting cast as Lebron. Replace Gasol with Varejao and see how many rings Kobe has.
