Not sure how reliable this is, but it breaks down the Celtics' players by salary for 2008-09.

    Garnett 24.75 mil
    Pierce 18 mil
    Allen 17 mil
    Perkins 4 mil
    Scal 3.2 mil
    House 2.6 mil
    Tony Allen 2.5 mil
    Rondo 1.6 mil
    Powe 797K
    Davis 711K
    Cassell 1.2 mil

    Total: About 76 mil

Everything worked out for Boston because they had a few of their own draft picks pan out. Perkins, Rondo, and Davis turned out as well as you could possibly hope in that situation. You can go over the cap to sign your own rookies, and by the time a rookie comes up for an extension, you will typically have their Bird Rights.

And if you're a Cleveland ticketholder who's had his team's and city's nose rubbed in the fact that he has an hour-long show to announce that he's leaving, how do you not resist running on the floor and punching him out the first time the Heat come in to play the Cavs?

And one final thought, if he signs with the Cavs, what's the Over/Under on the amount of times he says, "This is not about the money"?

    If LeBron pulls this Miami shit... Jesus. I can't believe I'm typing this, but ... I've ... got ... a reason ... to ... root for ...

Why? You don't have to root for either one, do you?

Kevin Durant will soon be the favorite NBA player of every white person in America.

What's not to like about Durant? Damn good player and goes about his business in a professional, non-LeBron way.

It's like choosing between which ailment you'd prefer: Jock itch or a cold sore.

Durant, Wade and Billups are my favorite players right now.

Does anybody know how the Heat can fit these 3 guys in under the so-called salary cap?
Do they have to sign LeBron and Bosh first then as long as they have a minimum of cap space left they can re-sign Wade for over the cap because of the Larry Bird rule?
