Nash or Stockton, which one do you take, in their prime

Nash. Both are tremendous but I think Nash can create more offense by himself.

BTW, don't we all owe a quid pro quo to Stephen A. Smith for breaking this story on Day 1?

Excellent column about the hoopla by Jack McCallum:

Say what you want about Simmons, but that's a great piece. He brings some great points to the table in a humorous and insightful manner. Maybe he is the inspiration in some ways for the new media world we live in today, but he seems like one of the few who has his head on straight in this mess. Not afraid at all to throw criticism where it is due, and stays completely within himself as the premier 'outsider' sports writer.

Heard Jim Gray interviewed by Mike Wise on the radio today. Gray apparently is the one who set this all up. His idea and everything. But he sounded awfully defensive and sleazy about the way all this has gone. And he's still a sleaze. And, no surprise, he sounded way up Lebron's ass, in a worshipful sort of way. But that's how Gray rolls when it comes to the NBA.

Way worse defensive player. If Stoudamire ends up being the Knicks only big free agent signing then Knick fan misery won't be ending any time soon. An injury prone PF with a ton of mileage and reputation for not playing defense won't be changing much. Especially if they're losing Lee in the process.
