Apparently, he'll sign with the Knicks and then be shipped off to GS for Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike.

Is this a good move? Lee, judging from the stats, seems like a solid player. I'm only asking because most Warriors fans (didn't know they existed) are livid about the idea of dealing Randolph, whom I know next to nothing about.

The Warriors aren't going to do anything until Nellie is fired and/or retires. How many games will it be before Lee is in the doghouse? I don't watch a lot of GSW games, but I saw Randolph play in person and I salivated about the thought of my team getting this guy in the pros. I just saw so much potential in the guy...but it was only one game. Wasn't the guy in Nellie's doghouse for a decent portion of the season?

If this goes down, it tells me the Knicks are hoping there is some way they can get Melo in the next year.

As a Houston Rockets fan, I do want to remind everyone that the Rockets have the right to swap draft picks with the Knicks in 2011 (top 1 protected), and outright own the Knicks pick in 2012 (top 5 protected). Those two picks, as well as Jordan Hill, NYK's #8 overall 2009 pick, came in the Tracy McGrady deal.

I guess I'm like the Pacers fan saying LBJ will go to Indianapolis, talking to myself. :)

No blue font: Who has LeBron made better by being his teammate?

And Pippen did what without Jordan? Uh, yeah. Was he better than anyone else around Lebron? Sure. But, he rode MJ's coattails, rather than helping to carry the load.

Grant was a 13 and 9 guy with limited shooting range. basically Ilgauskas numbers.

You're right, I left off Stacey King and BJ Armstrong.

Sorry, boys, but the 6 titles seem to cloud the memory and enhance the standing of some of MJ's teammates. Jordan and the triangle made them better than their individual skills might have allowed them to be on their own. But if people want to make them out as a juggernaut of talent, well, having lived there at the time and watched a lot of those teams on a regular basis, I can't buy it.

Apparently the decision won't come within the first 15 minutes. More Jim Gray?

I think LeBron's teammates have been better than people give them credit for. Like I wrote before, the team went from 45 wins in 2008 to 66 in 2009 and 61 this year, with LeBron basically being the same player. The guys around him got better. And, for instance, Jamison is much more accomplished than Horace Grant was.

But he certainly hasn't had anyone like Pippen. Don't forget, Pippen led the Bulls to 55 wins without Jordan in 1994 and to a Game 7 loss in the conference semis (cue Hue Hollins jokes). And even with Portland, he led them, as an old guy, to Game 7 of the WCF. He did more without Jordan than Jordan did without him, whether early in Jordan's career or in the they-didn't-really-happen Washington years.

    Kirk,

You are grossly underrating the impact of Scottie Pippen. He was a Godsend for Jordan's career. Yes there were obvious mutual benefits there, and Jordan was the better player, but Scottie Pippen was a tremendous player. Much, much better than anyone LeBron James has played with. And the names you listed aren't the best guys Jordan played with. The second three-peat was an outstanding starting five.

So, ESPN is doing it...they've got reporters in all of the cities where LeBron could potentially sign.

    Not anyone in Seattle.

If Durant played for any other team he would be my favorite player, I just loathe OKC.

    Ric Bucher twitter post:

FWIW: disparate opinions among gms, agents, league HQ officials today about where LeBron is going, but consensus on 1 thing: it's not Mia.

Considering the skybox I just did has "It's Miami," I'm pretty certain it'll be anywhere but.
