Did he say how long the contract was for?

Well, he had one this morning. A full week-plus into this debacle. He wrote about the freakin' vuvuzelas. It doesn't matter what the ombud writes. It's ignored and the same stuff continues.

Cleveland has lost athletes before, but this is an instance of a northeast Ohio native who is now turning his back on the city.

It isn't like Jim Thome or Albert Belle or Manny Ramirez, who never lived in Cleveland until the came up with the Indians. It would be like if Bernie Kosar. . . a born and bred native of northeast Ohio, turning his back on the Browns in order to go to the Dolphins.

I am not an NBA fan. I am not a Lebron fan. I am however a Cleveland fan and this Cleveland fan is disappointed that somebody who supposedly was one of us, turned his back on his heritage.

Five years is the max he can get. And all three can get the max $16.6 million and keep Miami under the cap, though they need to trade Beasley.

I'm guessing this will accelerate ESPNMiami.com.

In a related matter, crappy AP selection of Miami reaction shots. Mostly some guy in a barber shop.

Someone made the point early that he was with Cleveland by the grace of a random ping-pong ball. He didn't turn his back on anything, he took less money per year and less guaranteed money for less years than he could have in Cleveland. He didn't go to NY to lose under the worst 5 year plan since Lenin. He went to a team with 2 very very good players and a man in charge that knows what he's doing.

He went to 2nd easiest place in the league to win multiple Championships, the Lakers being the easiest. He's now on a team that has the path of least resistance to get to the finals for the next 5 years.

Actually that's probably an accurate representation. Wonder if the Heat will now be able to sell out games without resorting to the promise of free white T-shirts.

The next three year's classes combined probably couldn't get a team that matches this one in terms of top-end quality.

LeBron's website updated. And just like with the hour-long program, it's all about his giant head.

It's really heart warming to see these three stars sacrifice personal gain for the good of the team.
