Indeed he did. I had the urge to take a shower.

Van Gundy on the other hand said that Lebron had an obligation to call Dan Gilbert.

Also said the Knicks were still not part of the NBA elite.

The emotion is fine; the "championship guarantee" is guaranteed to do nothing but make Gilbert look like an idiot when Miami wins about 187-59 on their first trip into town this season.

Actually, they were pushed pretty hard in the gold medal game against Spain.

Well, he is putting something behind that guarantee in a way. He's building a casino in Cleveland. If he can't keep the Cavs a winner, he's going to lose millions and millions of dollars.

He has incentive to keep them at least competitive.

I'll agree that his championship guarantee is wacko. But I don't blame him after all he did to keep LeBron James happy, only to not even get the courtesy of being told that the decision before LeBron went on national television.

In small markets, all fans ask for is an owner who is willing to spend enough for their team to win. Dan Gilbert has done that. He really didn't deserve this kick in the groin.

They rolled in the early rounds but I think you're forgetting how close that gold medal game was nearly all the way. And this time, Wade and LeBron won't have Kobe around to bail them out when things get tight, like he did against Spain. ;)

I love the statement from the Cavaliers. They should be pissed, and I love the reaction.

That statement is incredible. I couldn't even see Cuban doing that. Holy crap.

According to a computer simulation on ESPN's ticker, the Heat will go 66-16 next season. Apparently the next phase of the master plan is to lure Ditka out of retirement to be their sixth man.

Gotta choose an angrier looking font, though.

I kept looking for some clue that the Gilbert statement was a hack or a fake page. Damn.
