I like Gilbert's emotion but come on, you've made hundreds of millions on James' back under the rookie contract then an extension and you knew that he could be a free agent. That's his right that everyone has known from day one when he was drafted. Probably 95% of the players who started in 2003 have not made it to yr. 8 of their careers. That's the bargain. Get over it.

On the other hand, I wish LeBron was going to NY so that GS could not trade for Lee and blow up their salary cap situation for the next 6 years.

ESPN reporting that Beasley has been traded to the Timberwolves.

So that would clear it up for the three to get the max deals.

Most likely they will, but why don't you watch how the dynamic works out for a few games before you pencil it in. It's not insane to be skeptical of this team, no matter how great the top three players are.

They've got the shotblocker. Jarvis Varnado (second-round pick out of Mississippi State) is the NCAA's all-time leader. He could be one of those role players they need.

Whenever the Heat drop two in a row in the regular season.

Dan Gilbert and Lebron James should bet each other's fortunes on who gets a title first.

No way the Heat are legit title contenders. You cannot win with 3 guys and a baby; I mean two min. players. Lakers with Gasol and Bynum would roll over them. Garnett/Perkins kill them inside. Magic? Not so sure. Bulls with Noah and Boozer likely pound them on the glass as well. With the legalized zone, you dare Lebron and Wade to beat you from outside because there is no one underneath to respect. Bosh? He's a jump shooter.

What's a comparison to Gilbert's letter? Susan's rat and snake speech on the original Survivor?

Was the six pack warm or cold that they got for him?

Damn, who will now fill the sulking role on the Heat?

I wonder how many people who don't think the Heat win the title said the same thing about Boston's threesome.

Gilbert's franchise probably lost, what, $200 million in value tonight?

So, yeah, I can understand the anger.
