Judging by this year's playoffs, I think they got the perfect replacement tonight.

He'd have made more staying in Cleveland.

Whenever they threw up the Vitamin Water-sponsored question from a fan about whether Obama could take LeBron in a game of H-O-R-S-E, was I the only one hoping someone would've snuck in a question from a bitter Cleveland fan?

Damn, you're right! Even though the situations bear little resemblance to Boston other than the fact that it was the combination of three all-stars and even though this much ego rarely works together on one team, the Celtics 2008 title virtually assures a 73-9 season (at worst) and a steamroll through the playoffs.

    Big Winner tonight: Dwyane Wade.

He (And Bennett Salvatore) already brought an NBA title to South Beach...now he's recruited the two top free agent prizes to HIS team, HIS city. Hell, he did Pat Riley's job for him...so now Riles can return to the bench (Which he will).

20 years from now Wade will be the guy you think of when you think of the Heat.

LeBron is the Pippen to Wade's Jordan. He can forget the Global Icon stuff. But I guess it's a big night for WorldWide Wes, right?

Gilbert's letter is absurdly over the top and more than a little childish.

But it's still good to see the Cavs striking back tonight instead of just sitting back and taking it up the ass as hapless victims. It's exactly the sort of feisty response a lot of Clevelanders needed to hear tonight.

David Lee's been shipped to Golden State per Fox Sports Radio.

Cleveland, can I tell you a secret? Cool off. You've been burned before and you have found a way to get over it. Dan Gilbert, shut the fuck up. YOU are the one who didn't give LeBron good enough talent to go all of the way. Antwan Jamison? Please. Nice parting shot, but you'll never, ever win a title with those fucking stiffs you surrounded LeBron with.

LeBron wasn't going to stay in Cleveland and anyone in Cleveland who is shocked and hurt by this, you should have been preparing for this. Wojarnowski's column said it best on Wednesday: LeBron wants to be around winners. Cleveland is known for losers and finding ironic and horrible ways to lose.

I feel bad for you Cleveland, but you knew it was going to happen.

LeBron, congratulations for making this a charade. You got what the fuck Maverick, World Wide Wes, and your entourage wanted.

You better win a NBA title in June 2011.

Granted, he's young, and granted, Wade and LeBron outweigh Pierce and Allen, but Bosh isn't exactly Kevin Garnett.

    Gilbert's not done:

And cavs.com directs right to the open letter. He might be drunk.
