Simple in the same sense that saying 2>3 is simple.

Well, if 2 represents a guy that led his team to a title (despite it smelling like a fix) and 3 represents a stat-padding narcissist that can't get it done during nut-cutting time, then yes 2 is greater than 3.

And who did Magic play with for that championship? After six, Jordan had none.

This whole "let's measure individuals by their championships and pretend that other players don't matter" shtick is tired. You'd think after people tried to say Jordan couldn't win a title, they'd have learned their lesson.

One thing I've learned from Twitter tonight:

A lot of people, many of them journalists, can't spell Dwyane Wade's name correctly.

I don't recall Jordan losing any series in which he was the favorite, much less with a 60-win team.

CAA, Dan Gilbert feels your pain...

(LBJ stiffed his own agents w/ the ESPN show)

If I believed in conspiracy theories, I might be tempted to think LeBron tanked that series. Think about it. If he wins that series, and goes on to win a title in Cleveland (or even get back to the Finals), this whole deal with Bosh and Wade can't happen. The idea that he can't win in Cleveland (which is ludicrous anyway, since he DID do well in Cleveland) is a non-starter.
So he tanks that series, the blame is shifted from his shitty performance to the so-called stiffs around him (who were good enough to run roughshod over the league for six months), and he has a somewhat plausible excuse for making the move to Miami or wherever Wade and Bosh ended up.
I might be inclined to think that. You know, IF I believed in conspiracy theories.

I don't recall Jordan winning a title or 60 games without a clear-cut HOFer at his side.

And what happened to that elbow injury that was going to require offseason surgery?

A more apt comparison might be A-Rod and Jeter. A-Rod might've racked up more impressive stats and been the more talented player, but everyone knew the Yankees were first and foremost Jeter's team, Jeter was the true leader, and Jeter was the guy Yankee fans would prefer at the plate with the game on the line.

Same goes here. Lebron might be the better overall player, but the Heat will always be first and foremost Wade's team, he'll be the guy their fans like and trust more, and I flat out guarantee you that Wade will end up being the guy they go to more often for those make or break crunch time possessions.

And Jeter and Wade proved they could win titles without the other guy. Whereas A-Rod and Lebron will always be remembered as guys who couldn't get there until they hitched their ride to other superstars who'd already done it.
