The fact that this fiasco drew great ratings -- and now ESP-LeBron will only ramp up future spectacles like this -- just proves all the more the overall idiocy of the American viewing public.

The draft is on TV. Draft lottery is on TV. Pre-season games are on TV. Football mini-camps will probably be on TV soon.

I really don't see what's wrong with this being on TV.

Free agent tells reporter, who runs onto TV to tell us: Okay.
Free agent tells reporter on TV: Not okay.

I hope this is the start of a trend.

But everyone knows Riles is full of shit.

Erik Spoelstra now has the least secure job in America, It's only a matter of time until Riles decides to coach again and poach another championship that is not his (see Van Gundy, San)

Riley is a guy whose whole CAREER is thanks to a player (Magic) having the "disease of me" and getting a coach fired. Magic was right, mind you.

Man, that Woj piece was awesome. Especially loved this part:

“This whole idea that he makes his own decisions, that [bleep] went out the window with this,” one NBA executive said. “Someday, he’s going to look back at this and not believe that he let those kids at LRMR talk him into doing this. This idea that he’s his own man … Come on, he’s a follower. And he’s following all the way to Miami now.”

This was the train rolling down the tracks from miles and miles away, and James never saw it coming. He should lose his obsession to become the richest athlete ever, because the people surrounding LeBron James are much more likely to leave him broke than a billionaire. Someday, he will fire his business manager Maverick Carter for turning the two-time MVP’s free-agent moment into Geraldo and Al Capone’s vault. Carter used the cover of charity for a historically horrible event and completely destroyed the credibility of his client.

    Dead on.

Another good point mentioned in the Woj piece, wasn't it a bit odd how Lebron only said that he was going to "South Beach" instead of using the word Miami?

It's like he's fixated only on the parties, glitz and supermodels. He's moving to that part, not that messy rest of the city. Just another hintthat grimy working-class cold Cleveland never had a chance with this guy.

Of course, Woj says this was all orchestrated by Maverick Carter.
Last week he said its was all being orchestrated by Worldwide Wes, or whatever that idiot calls himself, who hanging around but never really seemed to be in LeBron's inner circle

It's pretty clear it was orchestrated by someone not named LeBron.
