Not like they treat the US title belt seriously anyway. When's the last time Miz defended it?

True. But still, I kind of liked the credibility it gave The Miz. And a thorough beatdown of Bret (with a late run-in from Kidd and Smith) that led to a no-decision could have added just as much fuel to this feud. It just seems unnecessary.
Hopefully, in the long run, this sets The Miz up for a run at one of the big belts. I'm eagerly looking forward to round two of his terrific feud with Cena sometime next year.

I have a feeling Swagger is about to get the same Orton treatment that Mr. Kennedy got.

I haven't seen the show yet, but I wonder if this is the case as well. The Miz has been the best part of the show lately, and the WWE has been pretty good at getting him out and about for things. i.e. He always seems to be doing interviews and what not, appearing on shows, etc.

The Money in the Bank PPV is in July. Might be a good time to give him that little summertime championship push they've given some young guys the past couple years.

I'm watching Raw right now - Wow, strong opening promo. Bret Hart held up his end of the bargain, and Jericho constantly proves to me why he's my favorite promo guy of all-time, given the length of his career vs. The Rock and Stone Cold.

Also, I wish there was a mandate that the WWE had to visit Canada once a month. The crowds always seem a lot hotter and savvier than many in the states.

That was a very strong Raw last night.

I'm fine with Bret winning the title. It gives the Toronto fans something to cheer about and ends Bret's run on a high note. I'm interested in seeing what they do with the belt, if they have a tournament, or something like that. Plus there's the irony that this time, Bret will be able to just voluntarily give up the belt like he wanted to do in '97, instead of getting screwed over.

They can either push Miz for a bigger role (filling Batista's spot), or give him back the belt in the tournament.

Buzz Aldrin was so bad, he was good. I found it funny how he was talking about the president being so important to the space program, only he was in a different country.

Edge/Christian was a hot match, especially with the Toronto crowd. The Undertaker thing was kind-of lame, though.

Here's what I don't get about the Undertaker. Why have him travel all the way to Toronto, make a three-minute entrance, wait in the ring for another minute and then have it all end with a shitty countout and one chokeslam? Seems like a waste.

Not only that, but Edge is on Raw and 'Taker is on Smackdown (I say that very loosely), and they're not having any sort of program again.

And the show was going to receive the shot in the arm from Bret's appearance, so it's not like they needed Undertaker to sell tickets.

I caught a brief reference to this last night while flipping channels at halftime of the Magic game and had to go back and look at what was going on.

On NXT, Daniel Bryan talked about his elimination from the show and gave a pretty good worked shoot on the state of the WWE and its penchant for promoting big guys to the top of the card. He then went off and attacked Michael Cole for being critical of him and representing management.

It looks like the week before, when he was eliminated, he said Daniel Bryan hadn't accomplished anything, but Bryan Danielson had.
