Now that I'm thinking of it a day later, it may well be this generation's shocking turn, just by the reaction of the kiddies. I think Cena turned face around 2005 (?), which means the 10-year-old whose got all the Cena merch was just five when he was a heel. It's got to be an absolute shock to them.

Thanks. I did it in MSPaint to rub it in my wife's face. :)

I'm actually looking forward to where they go with Cena on this.

The obvious path (which they'll likely do) is have Cena "accidentally" cost Nexus matches, but I would really love to see Cena become a "tweener" ... filling the role vacated by Orton, who clearly is a face now who panders to the crowd (i.e. climbing to the top of the cage to show off his belt).

I hope that the writers don't screw this Cena joining Nexus gig. It has a chance to work really well. I wonder if he'll be wearing the shirt and everything.

    1) Your favorite feud? -- So hard to go with one, but I gotta go Austin-Rock because it propelled the WWE to heights it hadn't before reached. Flair-Steamboat is my choice for 1A, for obvious reasons.

    2) Is Vince McMahon the best heel of all time? -- No. Gotta go with Orton here.

    3) Thoughts on Vince Russo? -- He used to be great, then fucked it up when the "powers that be" were revealed.

    4) Is Owen Hart a Hall of Famer? -- No.

    5) Other then Bobby the Brain Heenan, who was the best manager/valet? -- It's a tie between Jimmy Hart and Jim Cornette.

    6) Thoughts on The Kliq? -- Always been an HBK/HHH fan, but The Kliq was pretty bad for business.

    7) Which Pay Per View should they remove, which former PPV would you replace it with? -- They should get rid of most of the gimmick PPVs, and bring back either Survivor Series in its old-school form or King of the Ring.

    8. Should steroids be legal in wrestling (qualified people would monitor the wrestlers taking them)? No. Absolutely not.

    9) Should Undertaker lose at Wrestlemania? -- No. The streak has taken on a life of its own, and should continue until he hangs it up.

    10) Thoughts on Rey Mysterio today? -- He should have retired, or gone back to Mexico, a long time ago. Used to love him, but his underdog character quickly grew old and stale.

    ---
    1) Should the WWE change Goldust gimmick back to Dustin Runnels and give him one good push for the IC/US Title? -- None of this generation of fans know who Dustin Runnels is. They know Goldust is Cody's brother and the American Dream's son, but that's about it.

    2) Most marked out moment? -- Taker-HBK I. That whole match was full of great moments. Aside: I marked big time when Hogan's music hit at Bash at the Beach and he came to the ring to "save" WCW ...

    3) What are your thoughts on Matt Striker the announcer? -- He's better than Michael Cole.

    4) What was your reaction when Hogan gave that leg drop to Savage at Bash at the Beach? -- Holy shit, Hogan is the third guy?!?

    5) Dream match up? Two wrestlers from any era, that never faced each other. -- Hmm ... I'll have to think about that.

    6) Who's the better wrestling family, The Von Erich's or The Hart's? -- Harts.

    7) Should the WWE end the Brand Extension? -- The brand split? No, because it gives some lower-tier guys a chance to shine and hone their skills (ala minor league sports) before coming up to the big show.

    8. Better future, John Morrison or Ted DiBiase Jr.? -- Morrison.

    9) Favorite Wrestling DVD? -- Not sure.

    10) Favorite wrestling book? -- Jericho's first book.

Stupid start to Raw. They should play the "Cena is a man of his word and a competitor" and at least have Cena try when he's in a match, even if he hates them afterward.

I agree :/ This is the most boring and safe route they could have taken with it, so I guess that's what way they're going.

I just turned this on. I thought Cena lost and had to be a part of Nexus. Why is he beating up some dude from Nexus?

Because he was trying to rebel, I guess.
