Great Raw tonight. I actually think WWE could tone down some of the crazy graphics and sets if they just put on solid shows. Also, it really shows how dated the scratch logo has become. It's time for an overhaul in the visual.

By the way, why can't they be the World Wrestling Federation anymore but can show the Old School logo? I don't get it.

Edit to add: Take a hike, Cole. God, I can't believe how awful he is compared to Jim Ross. Also, Sexual Chocolate. Enough said.

I'm not 100% sure about this...

I think they can still say "World Wrestling Federation," but not "WWF." I think they can use the old school" WWF" logos, but not the "scratch WWF" that was the earlier version of the current logo.

    Booking PPVs is EZ.

The first one isn't a Survivor Series match, but rather Nexus vs. Santino/Koslov for the titles.

I got 8/10 right out of the Del Rio vs. Mysterio match. I thought about putting Masters on the face team, but thought they might give Kaval a little PPV love. They included Tyler Reks instead of Ziggler on Del Rio's team.

Cole actually has gotten better, especially since he's taken on this heel role. JR just is the best ever. Having said that, Cole was taking away from JR and King's broadcast, and from the match. It would have been just fine with just JR and the King.

And I'll admit, I was a little surprised to see PG WWE letting Henry be Sexual Chocolate. Got a good reaction, though.

The other hidden thing that I thought was funny was when Finkel asked everyone to rise for Volkoff's anthem, a lot of fans actually did. Shows how much the world has changed in 25 years.

I guess it would have been pushing it for Kane to come out as Isaac Yankem

It would have been better than the New Diesel.

I also think Cole is much better as a heel announcer, especially since that's what role you need him to play if Lawler is his broadcast partner. Lawler isn't going to work as a heel announcer at this stage, since it's not 1995 anymore. And Cole as the heel announcer is the best "lemonade out of lemons" decision you can make since the WWE decided to shit can J.R. from announcing in favor of Cole.

But he's not even good at being a heel announcer because it is just so over-the-top and it seemingly happened overnight. Not to mention he strays from supporting the faces (i.e. he should hate Orton and Cena and be eating up Nexus). I understand that he has his own particular beefs with people like Bryan and Edge while being a Miz-mark.

His heat from being the voice behind the GM isn't good heat ... it's Vickie heat, it's X-Pac heat.

X-Pac heat is hard to come by.

Well Mr. Cole Miner scored him some.

Was it just me, or did some of the Cole/J.R. animosity seem legit? There were some times there when it seemed like more than a work...with that being said (and I've listened to a lot of wrestling announcers, especially on the WWF/E side), I think Jim Ross is the best to ever put on a headset. Once he started calling the Swagger/Bryan match, all I could think was, '*This* is wrestling.'

Then again, having Howard Finkel around may have had something to do with it as well...
