All this talk about the Kofi-Orton mess-up two weeks ago got me to thinking about another one they had last week at the end with the DX/Cena segment.

Triple H was talking with Michaels, waiting to get interrupted by Cena's music... only Cena's music didn't hit when it was supposed to, leading to a long, awkward pause. When the music finally started, Michaels and Triple H both started screaming at somebody outside the ring. Michaels had a hissy fit over the whole thing.

The whole thing starts around the 2:30 mark of this clip:

This wasn't the first time something went wrong with these two.
During the Kofi-Orton brawl at MSG, there was another screw-up. Piper was in position to be punted, and either the sound guy didn't hit Kofi's music or Kofi missed his cue and was late rushing to the ring. Orton ended up standing there for a few awkward seconds, pulling up on the punt attempt and missing a kick, then throwing his hands up.

(It's right at the beginning of the clip)

And don't forget when Kennedy botched his move on Orton. Kennedy was gone the next day.
Seems Randy Orton just doesn't play well with others.

Orton seems a bit like a perfectionist, but that just might be his character bleeding through in my thoughts of him. To be honest, he seems really, really comfortable as the type of heel character he's playing now, so it wouldn't surprise me if he is a bit icy and confrontational backstage. It's not like Cena, who plays Mr. All-American but once admitted to having a threesome on Adam Carolla's radio show.

You can see Michaels looking to the entrance expecting Cena to come out.

    Happy Royal Rumble day!
    Who ya got?
I still say HBK and HHH at the end, with Jericho as a dark horse winner.

I'm putting my money on Edge throwing Jericho out, HBK and HHH knocking each other out and Cena winning outright, facing Sheamus at Mania.

Less than 7 months for a torn Achilles? *swipes money* :D

I think HBK and Trips at the end...Trips wins and chooses Taker at WM.

Cena is just so obvious, but I can't think of a good reason to pick against it.

In the other title match, Orton dodges the kick and hits the RKO for the win. WWE *must* get the belt off Sheamus. Had he been given the US/IC title? Fine...let him keep it and see what he can do. He is *not* a main eventer, nor will he ever be.

And no, Trips, I'm *not* down with this push. Say your 2 words if you must.

Now, I know why Orton was yelling "STUPID!" after the match. Wow.

Rumble tonight. I gotta find an internet feed.

I'm thinking Trips throws HBK out, but Michaels does the one-foot thing again. While HHH and Cena battle, Michaels comes back and dumps both of them over.

Although, every year, they always talk about how any 30 guys can win, even guys like Santino and Carlito. With Sheamus having the belt for the moment, this could be the year they have a total underdog win and face Sheamus for the strap. Then Michaels can figure out a way to get Taker again and couple that with Hart/McMahon for the double main event.

I think the best way for WWE to make HBK winning something different would be to let him win but have Taker drop the belt to either Mysterio tonight or at the Elimination Chamber.

This way, Michaels has to decide between a title match or Taker for Mania. Not an easy choice and one that, even though we know which will he'll go, would be an interesting couple of weeks of TV.

And I was just checking out the WWE's list of Rumble entrants, no one there with the possible exception of Kofi gives me the "underdog wins Rumble" feel. I guess Dibiase could pull it off but, if it's not him vs. Orton, what's the point?
