Loved the line about Arquette's ring attire: "That looks like Clubber Lang's gi!"

And say what you want about Arquette, but it seems like he knows his infamous place in wrestling history. Considering this is probably his first "public" appearance in the wrestling world since the WCW fiasco -- and it's more than a decade later -- there's nothing wrong with having some fun with it. Especially when he gets powerbombed through a table.

Also noticed Orton broke out a couple of new moves during that match: the powerbomb and an Angle slam. Interesting. Wonder if they'll work their way into his regular repertoire.

Orton did the powerbomb and the Angle Slam last week as well. I'm thinking the powerbomb is just for the TLC. But the Angle Slam is interesting.

In several books, Arquette has been written as even being ashamed himself that he was given the WCW title. But he was given some credit for donating his WCW salary to the families of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman and Bobby Duncum Jr.

All in all, another good Raw. The awards were fine, although I would have voted Orton for Superstar of the Year and for Move of the Year with Bourne. The appearance by The Angry Miz Girl was pretty cool to see, and like Meat said, I don't think she was a plant. It was just something that took off. I would have liked to have been backstage to see Miz and the girl meet. That would have been nice to see.

Sure looks like they are setting up a Miz-Morrison title match at The Rumble, assuming Morrison doesn't injure himself doing crazy spots.

I love that idea. Miz and Morrison have great chemistry. Plus, they are smaller guys who aren't best utilized in The Rumble.

OK, I normally love the Slammys but WTF.

No match of the year? Really?

    YOU'RE A WRESTLING COMPANY!

For fuck sakes, taking out the MOTY award is like taking out the Best Picture award at the Oscars and replacing it with "Scene of the season".

I'm all for the idea behind WWE Moment of the Year but this is outrageous.

Clearly they didn't have enough matches this year to warrant an award.

    What a shame.

Also, FWIW, Cena absolutely teed off on Otunga with the chair. I miss/missed shots like those.

I missed the whole fookin' show, because my cable company decided to play "Catch the satellite" and go on hiatus the rest of the night.

That's what I get for getting interested again.

Since the WWE didn't do it, I'm going to.

My nominee for Match of the Year is Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler at Bragging Rights.

Honorable mention to Michaels vs. Taker at WM26; Orton vs. Sheamus at HITC; Mysterio vs. Punk, Over the Limit.

I don't see how you can put any match ahead of Taker-HBK. That rematch was simply epic.

Agreed. Two of the best ever, on the biggest stage, telling an absolutely fantastic story. Add the historical significance of it (18-0 to date, HBK's last match), and really nothing else can/should touch it. Physically, HBK showed he was going out as many should, but too few actually do: Still able to get the job done as well as a decade or more before. Also a turn-back-the-clock performance for Taker, who looks completely washed-up most nights, but seems to find his A game for WM.

I'm taking nothing away from Bryan and Ziggler...I love their technically sound style, and that match was great for the 15-20 minutes it lasted. HBK/Taker, though, had a match that will stay with fans for a long time.

I only put the Ziggler match ahead of the HBK-Taker match because of my own expectations and satisfaction.

I agree, 100 percent, that HBK-Taker told the better story and will have a more lasting impact but, to me, the match itself could have never lived up to my expectations because the first bout at WM25 is my favorite match of all time. And, also, because I still think Michaels should have won and retired.

Ziggler-Bryan took two relative midcarders and showed, without a doubt, that when given time they could be the future of the company and, from a technical standpoint, that match was simply amazing.

Again, I'm not knocking those that put HBK-Taker ahead of it. I completely understand but, for me, Ziggler-Bryan was just a little bit better of a match.
