In their book, the Hardys admitted trying to whale Lesnar with the chair, because they basically were going to get destroyed the rest of the time. They figured they'd make their one shot count.

At first, I thought it was a legit thing, until later, when I found out it wasn't. Still it was a sight to see.

Couple of funny things I noticed.:

    1. Big Show's feet touch the bottom rope when he's sitting on the top. That's how big he is.

    2. Technically, Show's head was on Brock's, and was pinning him.

    3. I miss the "Holy Shit" chants.

Looking at the Lesnar-Kendrick clip, my first reaction was actually about how jarring it is to see blood in a WWE match—especially a match not particularly relevant to any storyline.

Found an inteview with The Miz, where he puts over the Angry Miz Girl, and talks about a few other things:

  4. To me the most amazing part of that is that no one was killed. If Lesner would have paused, just for a couple of seconds like usually happens once the move is set up, that spot goes to hell real quick. When you have Lesner going to the top rope, and then show goes up there to set it all up, you can tell that Lesner was leaning back already and if Show lost his balance, that never goes down right. It almost looks as if Lesner started leaning back early before they could pause and went, "well, here we go". Just a well done spot by two athletes.

I'm guessing, during the commercial break and immediately before the match, they took out the bolts from the ring posts and probably had ropes or pulleys or something to where, at the right time, the posts could be pulled, resulting in the collapse.

There's no way in hell they risk wrestling in that ring, especially with more than 800 pounds of wrestlers in it, without having some kind of mechanical collapse already in place.

Still, one hell of a spot. It certainly ranks up there with Stone Cold and the beer truck.

I'm partial to the spot that probably inspired it:

Since when did WWE stop going overseas for the Tribute to the Troops show?

I think this is the first year they decided to stay at home.... probably did that as cost savings and to get a whole buncha stars on the show.

At least they sent Show, Divas, and a few others for a visit earlier this month.

From what I heard, they had some issues getting clearance. I don't remember the details but there was a story about a month or go where I read that the show might be out and out canceled.

I still get chills thinking about the first one they did -- I think it was in 2002 or 2003.

If that's the case, it sucks for the troops overseas, but it's understandable. You don't want some idiot deciding that it would be a good time to blow himself up (and no, I'm not counting Vince) with a large group of soliders congregating in one spot.

The shows do get a little bit cliche, but seeing them performing in front of all those soldiers is such an awesome sight.
