What did you want, Big Slow to win?

    Yawn.

  2. I've always wondered and I don't think it's ever happened but with all of the "near knockout" stuff that happens in the course of one of these, what happens if the guy scheduled to win accidentally falls to the floor when he was supposed to be a near knockout?

Is it really a shocker? I didn't like when they did it with Cena a few years ago. Coming back from injury and winning the rumble. Oh well. It was still fun to watch.

Awesome. They spend all this time building up a handful of guys with obvious storylines to win the Rumble, and then take a swerve out of nowhere with some guy that everyone was convinced was too hurt to compete.

If it was HHH or HBK, I was gonna be disappointed at the obviousness. Cena too.

I'm just not an Edge fan that's all.

They make up a rule on the spot that saves him, a la the "oh, BOTH feet have to touch the floor so Michaels isn't eliminated" rule.

I was thinking Cena would win and challenge 'Taker.

So who is Edge going to face?

Hasn't that been the rule all along though? :D

My memory may be playing tricks on me, but I seem to recall that suddenly being the rule the first time Michaels won way back in the day.

My bet is they'd just send word to the guys in the ring about who's going to win it now and then craft a storyline where the guy who wins fights the guy who was supposed to win for the spot at Mania.

Methinks Sheamus drops the strap to Cena or Orton at the next PPV, and Edge challenges whomever wins that match. That or Jericho gets a shot at Taker, wins that belt and Edge faces Jericho at Mania. The seeds were planted for a slew of feuds tonight.

That wasn't to save Michaels, that was to make way for the way they finished that match. They said the "both feet must touch the floor" thing like 10,000 times that match and they had the camera positioned perfectly to show only one foot touched. Plus, Bulldog sold it really well and had most people thinking it was all over. Great match.
