So why is it that Bret and Vince need to sign a contract, but no other match needs it?

    They aren't regular in-ring competitors?

Yeah, but Cena and Sheamus had to do a contract signing.

And Cole just called Austin a moderator. So I guess he's Moddy, Steve Austin.

Oh, and I have a hunch that Austin put it in the contract that he's the special guest ref....

Even though we knew it was coming ... well played, WWE.

I was thinking that too. But WWE did a good job with Bret and the cast.

And I loved the small part where Austin starts talking about Stu Hart, then as Vince rises from his chair, he tells him to sit his ass down.

Loved Austin as guest host but this PG nonsense has got to go. He said the word "ass" three different times and, each time, they censored, what, 10 seconds? I mean, jesus, there's being PG and there's being ridiculous.

Apart from that, I thought it was an OK Raw. I say that because the whole show was basically a two-hour advertisement for Mania, but hey, that's fine. Let's just have every match end with a run-in next time.

It seems like everyone hates the PG era, but I guess they are doing it for a reason. People say that Cena sells obscene amounts of merchandise. I know I see his face on t-shirts and backpacks every time I go to Wal-Mart. My best friend teaches third grade and say his kids love Cena. Can he really be that profitable?

There's a reason they haven't even so much as teased Cena going heel, despite his always getting a strong minority of negative reaction when he comes to the ring. He's a cash cow, and the only thing that comes even close is DX, which is back on the shelf. He moves merchandise and is untouchable among the under-18 set.

Did Batista do a blade job in his match?
Right after he got kicked in the corner by Kofi and opened up, one of the replays showed him swiping his forehead with his thumb and then the juice was flowing. Looked like he bladed but given the new PG rules it would surprise me a bit if he did. It wasn't a terribly bad cut, either, so he might have just gotten caught by the tip of Kofi's boot.
Either way, I loved the tiny character moment at the end of that match, when the ref gave him the belt and offered a towel and Batista just shooed the ref and towel away. He just let it bleed and even smiled a bit. It was well-played, and just a great dominant heel match all around.
