Well, that was a unique ending to Cena/Batista.

Cena must have studied clips of Macho Man vs. Crush at Wrestlemania X.

Didn't watch the PPV, but read about it on WWE's site. I kind of like that finish. It keeps Batista over as a strong heel and, like you said, is different. Last man standing matches usually suck because the ending is so drawn out. That finish sounds like it would have been fun to watch.

For what it's worth, the buzz on the Internet is that Batista is leaving the WWE.

I've only read about the finish and not seen it, but I was wondering how long it would take someone to employ that sort of method. I'm just surprised that the WWE did it in such a wimpy way, and with Cena, and not someone like Jericho or The Miz. Why do it in that fashion, and not, say, backstage, with like a truck or stuntman or something?

The bad thing about the finish was that Cena kept botching the taping. Every rotation of the tape around Batista's legs, Cena would accidentally break the tape. He'd then have to start over, and over, and over. He finally got a little bit on, and when it broke for the millionth time, it kinda looked like he said "Ah, fuck it, this is all scripted anyways, there's a little bit of tape on Batista's legs, I'll stop and win the match."

Cena was too busy meeting Sharon Osbourne to give her WWE's $10k, Vince's $10k and his $10k to be watching old wrestling matches.

The taping finish, to me, seemed hokey and anticlimatic. I would have been happy if they would have just had Batista pass out from the pain of the STF.

Funny thing was, Striker mentioned that early in the match, and when that spot happened, I thought, "No way they're ending the match how the broadcaster announced it."

I did like the ending of Edge/Jericho. With the cage, it had an old-school "End the Feud in the Cage" feeling to it.

Wow, that was actually a good match. A really good match. The crowd seems to finally be reacting to the Hart Dynasty.

I knew the Miz and Big Show's title reign couldn't last forever. But I wanted it to :(

Same here. That was a good way to end it, though.
