    Looks like the Failies are fixing to give Ryan Madson a four-year, $44M contract.

    So much for anything approaching sane money for a "proven" closer.

    For a guy the coaching staff said could not be a closer as recently as this past April.

    He'll still probably provide more relative value over the life of his contract than Howard will over his.

    The Phillies have money to burn. They sold three million tickets before Opening Day last year and that will happen again.

    But Madson is not young or established.

    Some radio station is reporting it is "almost a done deal" that Jose Reyes will be taking his talents to Miami.

    I think there is speculation that Ramirez can't stay at SS long-term. Maybe 3B, or 1B.

    If Johnson is healthy, that becomes an awfully interesting division.
