Wait (and it won't be a long wait) until some divisional race is decided because Team X got to play a patsy from the other league in its last series of the season while Teams B and C play each other. Or vice versa, Team A gets the interleague Phillies or Yankees in its last series while Team B gets a bottom feeder.

I imagine the schedule will be gerrymandered so the late-season interleague games are between assumed schleps.

And even if its not, so what? Just STFU, play and win.

Bubbler, that's a fine sentiment, but this is a situation where teams in one competition may well be playing games with literally two sets of rules. I'd hate to be an AL team in a pennant race having to play without my DH for the final three games of the year, or an NL team promoting some scrub to DH.

So you're saying they should make Pittsburgh and Baltimore permanent "final series" rivals?

Good point about the DH, a silly anachronism between the two leagues that needs to be solved. I think use of the DH should be the home manager's discretion, not a league rule in either league.

But I still think baseball fans are way too prone to go all Chicken Little over anything that represents change.

Would it suck to have an AL team lose its DH? Yes. Is it a deal-breaker to have 15 in each league? No way.

The C.J. Wilson tour continues in Anaheim. Don't miss it!

Heyman is also reporting the Angels are interested in Hiroki Kuroda.

The more important point in the DH argument is that there is no fucking way the PA is going to give up those high-paying roster slots and there's no fucking way the NL teams are going to add those high-paying roster slots.

Kershaw wins the NL Cy Young, Halladay finished second in voting.

    No argument with that finish.

Same, but definitely could of gone either way, in my opinion.

It wasn't a huge gap, but Kershaw was the clear choice. Led the league in ERA and strikeouts and tied with Kennedy for tops in wins.

Cue Herbert comment about me including wins. I don't put a huge weight on the category, but it's still pretty impressive to win 21 on a Dodgers team that struggled.

    You know I'm just teasing.

I still think Wilson's a lemon and can hardly wait for that to be borne out.
