Hate to break it to Gehrig, but the Astros to the AL is a done deal. Hope that doesn't screw up all that work.

One game playoff between two wild card teams. Any thoughts?

    Yes, please.

Fact 1) One-game playoffs are awesome.

Fact 2) Winning the division now becomes significantly more meaningful, because the WCs have to burn their best available pitcher.

Fact 3) More teams will be in on the late-season excitement.

    Provably awesome idea.

The Blue Jays are going back to their early 90s uniforms (with some minor tweaks). This is great. I absolutely loved these uniforms. It was disgusting watching Toronto taking the field in black all the time. It's about time the BLUE Jays put the blue back into the uniform.

Jose Bautista in the "new" uniforms:

I loved the original Blue Jay uniforms and was disappointed when they changed them in the late '90s. I hope the new uniforms they get resemble their classic look pretty closely.

Good move by the Blue Jays, and the Mets apparently are getting rid of the black (another good move).

I get kind of sick of teams always going "back to the future" for new uniforms, but for the Blue Jays and Mets, I welcome it.

Of all the events of the past 20 years, the one historians of the U.S. might find strangest is that sports teams decided black combined well with any color -- even purple.
