Players, owners have verbal agreement on a new five-year CBA:

    That was easy ...

Fact: The National League and Japan's Central League are the only two professional leagues in the world, at any level, without the DH.

I'm a National League guy through and through, but the universal DH is inevitable. Might as well just make it happen now. Everyone who actually plays baseball today has grown up playing with the DH at all levels. It's time.

I guess I just don't understand the obsession with having pitchers hit - It's like having another Rey Ordonez in the lineup. It does add "strategy" to the game by forcing the managers to do something, but I was under the impression most people watched baseball for the players, not to see NL skippers waddle out for double switches.

The one thing I don't like about the two wild cards playing a one-game playoff is that say some team locks up that first wild card with 3 weeks to go and the other spot gets locked up on the last day. Now the wild card team that has been in for longer is essentially playing Game 163. I'd at least like to see it be a best-of-3 series.

The Colorado Rockies have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Why not just add two wild cards per league and make the top two records mean something? Top two get a bye, then the other four do a best of five, then best of 7, best of seven ALCS?

And the World Series would end on Nov. 15.

Add 3 scheduled double-headers a season and this works for me.

The one-game play-in game is stupid, unless your someone like Texas-San Antonio.

    Wait, what?

I don't like a team being in a league for half a century and then moving (snaps fingers), just so Bud can wipe his ass after another mess of his own making.

Sensing a void in the wake of Lance Armstrong's retirement, Barry Bonds put his PED expertise to good use yesterday in Phoenix as he launched his new career:
