Theo paid 8.3% above the listing price for his new home in Chicago.

He better hope he doesn't get in a "bidding war" for any free agents.

At least he can walk to work.

Cahill is the same age as Jarrod Parker and not recovering from Tommy John. The deal doesn't wash.

Arizona has quietly shaped a pretty good roster in the span of a year and a half.

Balestar: my impression only, I have not dealt with him so I do not know this to be true. Million dollar arm, ten cent head. Never been able to harness it. Had good stretches. This seems like a change of scenery deal on both sides

Grain of salt, etc., but i got a news alert for a Bleacher Report link about Punto going to sign with the Sawx. When I clicked on it, it had been taken down.

Has anyone heard anything like that? I so don't want that to happen.

He's not exactly their kind of player - you'd think that some stupid GM out there would be fooled enough by the shiny, "World Series champion" smell on him to give him a full-time job. (Somewhere, Brian Sabean just got an erection thinking about it.) But the Sox do usually stock the end of the bench with utility guys with major league experience (Alex Cora) as opposed to having a young guy up to just play sporadically. (The exception is probably the young, non-prospect guys like Dioner Navarro, or however you spell it.)

I don't think he'll get a full-time gig. What I'd LIKE is for him to be utility here in ATL, and apparently he's "at or near the top" of their list, according to the AJC guy. But he is a utility guy with major league experience, which is why the Boston report scared me.

How many one-year wonders who flopped are the Pirates going to add? They already had McLouth in their collection.
