    2008 NL: 1300/4869, 26.7%

    Compared to Fielder's 2.2%.

Where do you get that stat? Not questioning it, but I would love to know where.

Also, he is 100% from home to home when the ball goes over the fence.

And even above 0% a few times when it hasn't.

Probably. I also wonder if it means bye bye Saltyasbhbsa, since last I knew, they were going to give Lavarnway some reps behind the plate. Scouts are pretty negative on his ability to stay a catcher though, so maybe they're just going to have him start at AAA to either 1) improve his defense or 2) switch to 1B or DH and focus solely on the bat.

Hard to swallow for a Yankee fan. Melancon showed talent, and then they dumped him without ever giving him a real chance repeatedly giving innings to career never-will-bes like Sergio Mitre. They make the same mistakes over and over again. (To be fair, I said the same thing about Colon & Garcia.)

Couldn't remember how he ended up in Houston.

Berkman did so little in NYC, I didn't remember the trade.

This guy was years ahead of his time. He came up with this valuable analysis, and it sat almost completely disregarded for decades. And the thing is, while the math behind it may have been a bit of a challenge, the concept is so simple. But everyone missed it.

Wow, so BABIP could have been a part of Moddy's boyhood?

    Talk about your missed opportunities.
