Cameron is basically a right-handed Rick Ankiel at this point, and that's not a compliment.

    Are the Twins thinking rebuilding?

    Let Kubel, Cuddyer, Nathan leave.

Sure they have Morneau and Mauer, but both have shown some injury problems.

With the White Sox in full rebuilding mode, could this be the year the Royals get out of the cellar?

Darvish announcement is imminent. Blow Jays are suddenly not the lock to win negotiation rights, according to tweets from Buster Olney, who's camped out in Arlington.

You say that as if the bidding is ongoing. Everybody turned in their bids days ago. I still haven't heard a good reason why the fuck around with it this long.

I think they give the Japanese club so long to decide whether or not they want to reject or accept the highest bid.

They get four business days, but everyone assumed they wouldn't use it all because they intended to accept no matter what. But apparently they intend on using most of it.

The title alone makes this article worth reading:

$20 Million Can Buy Quality Time With Mr. Met

The Wilpons might be the biggest jokes in sports right now.

I don't see how they hold onto the franchise.

They're trying to sell 4% shares in the team for $20M a pop, and they're marketing 'em like a $500,000 annual sponsorship. Well, except for the business card.

Not calling out anyone here, but I hate when people compare Yu Darvish to only Daisuke. There have been 21 Japanese starting pitchers that have come over with varying degrees of success. Have people forgotten about Hideo Nomo? In his first season he led the NL in strikeouts, shutouts, K/9, and H/9. He was NL RoY, and finished 4th in the CYA voting. He finished 4th in the CYA voting again his second year. He pitched two no-hitters and had several other solid seasons. He finished with a career record or 123-109, 4.26 ERA. He did bounce up and down a lot through out his career.

Darvish is a far more accomplished pitcher than any other Japanese pitcher that has come over. His level of dominance in Japan is on a different level than Nomo or Daisuke. I'm not saying Darvish is going to be an elite major league pitcher but if there is one Japanese pitcher that can be, it's Darvish. He's 6'5", 220 lbs, throws extremely hard and has incredible control. Lets see how he does.
