V-Mart was a monster last season -- .330 AVG and 100+ RBIs. Very rough.

If Brennan Boesch can stay healthy for an entire year, it may ease the loss. Of course, Boesch hasn't been able to do that in his two years in the majors.

    Shit. Love V-Mart.

Wonder if he'll ever play again?

Boesch hasn't been himself since the first half of his rookie year.

I'd be hard-pressed to think that someone won't pick him up to DH somewhere in 2013. His days as a catcher are likely over, but an appearance at first base or a full-time DH role is not out of the question for him.

The first half of his rookie year, he was way above what he had shown in the minors. He was never going to sustain that. He was hitting over .300 (which is something he had never done in the minors).

In his 115 games last year, he had 16 HRs, 54 RBI and .283 average, which is more in line with his past. Of course, he still hasn't done it over an entire season.

Boesch in right, Jackson in CF, Raburn/Young in LF/DH with Santiago as your everyday 2B, if they don't get Cespedes or make another move.

Wonder if the Tigers think about Prince now, although that would be a ton to pay for a DH.

Martinez would still have two years left on his deal with the Tigers.

Tim Lincecum's arbitration filing was for $21.5 million. Team offered $17 million.

(Record request is $22 million by Roger Clemens in 2005).

Manny Ramirez, and his 50-game suspension, to the A's?

Between him and Colon, the A's would be looking pretty damn good 10 years and 100 pounds ago.
