With the rosters slimmed down, I'm guessing in order to fill 40 slots, Hornswoggle gets in or at least a lot of beat-up has-beens like Jim Duggan and Honky Tonk Man. Yeesh.

Surprise me, Sting. Come to the dark side and main event in Atlanta one more time. Wait, what am I thinking?

I didn't really consider Yoko to be a surprise winner. He had been unbeaten to that point, and I remember them making a ridiculous huge deal that Duggan had knocked him down.

Batista had been a bit of a surprise to me, because they had primarily used him as the muscle of Evolution. You figured at some point, he would have gotten a push, but it came pretty quickly.

    Who's the newbie in Nexus?

No idea, although I'm sure we'll find out eventually.

I almost thought it was Batista with a beard at first glance. Guy has a bit of a resemblance to him.

And did they announce a new WWE Hall of Famer? I missed part of the show.

I've read stuff the last couple of weeks about a guy they had in FCW that was built in the same mold as Batista. I haven't heard his name yet, but I thought it was Batista himself at first. The resemblance is uncanny.

Is anyone else disturbed that the New Nexus salute is also a white power salute?

The Torch report says the new guy is Mason Ryan from FCW.

I knew he was in FCW, just didn't know his name. And Torch's site kept locking up on me when I tried to read the Raw recap.

Actually, wasn't it also a black power salute in the 1960s? A fist in the air?

I also recall the Nation of Domination doing something similar to that in the late 90s, when they were imitating the Nation of Islam.

Couldn't they come up with something different, though? Maybe just use Punk's double-arm cross.

And, before all that, I suppose Hitler invented the thing. WWE: Crossing racial lines for a half-century.
