Ryder's opening promo with Henry on Smackdown was pretty good, too.

OK, I just saw the ROH tv promo for my area. Starts Sept. 24.

    Woot!

  3. Last week I thought R-Truth and The Miz made a strange pairing, but I have to admit that I kind of enjoyed watching Miz hold back the laughter while R-Truth was going off on his rant. They both looked to be having fun with it.

It went on a bit long and I didn't like how much Punk was playing to the crowd but, yeah, that was some solid stuff right there.

Him playing to the crowd was great, I thought. The ice cream bar line was superb.

Very good end to an ordinary show. This also leaves a small mystery opening, although they may not use it, of who in the back was cutting off Punk's mic (like Laurinatis).

I thought Trips kinda got the best of Punk verbally there. He said a few things that Punk didn't quite respond to, such as the big body stuff.

That was probably the first time I've seen Punk silenced.

That's the thing. If it was a political debate, I would have said Trips won. What Punk should have said is "You want to listen to fans now. Well, why did it take weeks to get Zach Ryder on Raw?" and "You listed all those guys. Well, you forgot about the Great Khali. That was a great champion there. And it took you years to hire Foley because Vince said he didn't look like a star. And great job there selling Bryan Danielson down the river last year." Didn't happen.

  10. What is with their handling of heels who start to get over with the fans as heels, so we have to start treating them as full-face? Orton worked well as a heel paired against Cena. Then he eventually starts playing to the crowd. Punk, who worked as a heel with the fans because he was pissed off at the world and he was letting loose, now starts smiling and hamming it up like he's fricken Hogan in his heyday? Just leave them as they were. We liked them that way.

  11. Raw on Monday: 2.7 rating, lowest in 14 years.

If Trips puts himself over on Punk at NoC, picture that rating taking a more deep header over the course of the next few weeks.

Can't see this any other way than Nash helping Triple H win.

No way they are aborting him as COO already.
