Vince comes back and tells HHH that no one person is bigger than the WWE (using a version of Hunter's own words) and announces he's back in control. This whole storyline is just to feed Vince's ego.

That's another thing that could have made that segment even better.

Trips goes off about how he's old-school, and guys just beat the shit out of each other. Have a babyface tell him that it's just a different era now. Then have babyfaces, Divas and the refs just walk away as they did, with the heels remaining.

Then all the heels climb into the ring, and Barrett or Henry say, "Very well, let's go old-school," and beat the hell out of Trips. Have a couple of faces remain on the stage, looking conflicted as to whether or not to help, but then they walk away. Stretcher Trips out.

This would also be better if it was Vince having this done to him.

This storyline sucks ass. The whole segment is designed to get Triple H over as a face COO, and it was done at the expense of storyline coherence (workplace safety?) and every other character, who now seems like a whiner. Brilliant.

Not at all important to the storyline, but Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres were also nowhere to be seen during the last segment.

Would it be too obvious to bring Punk, Cena and Orton on board with Trips to form an old-school, four-man Survivor Series team? (Not saying they should or that that would be entertaining, just that it seems like that's one less-than-creative road creative could take.)

Well, according to images posted earlier in this thread, Rock and Cena are teaming up. Throw Dwayne on your team and that's five, right? That would work.

You know, I guess "an old-school ... Survivor Series team" would really have five guys. (Forgot the 1987 and '88 events featured five-man teams.)

If I knew anything, I would have already known this:

WWE sources have confirmed that The Rock and John Cena will be a part of a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Tag Team Match. (http://www.wwe.com/shows/survivorseries/2011/the-rock-to-appear-at-survivor-series)

Mind is in other places right now.

This could set up Rock/Cena/HHH/Punk/TBD (Big Show? Foley?) with Austin in their corner vs. Miz/Truth/Christian/Ziggler/Rhodes with Vince in their corner for control of the WWE. You could sub Del Rio and Henry for Miz and Truth, keeping them as outsider types, but it'd be nice to have the world champions defending their titles. Though who they'd defend against, I dunno (Sheamus for Henry, TBD for Del Rio). But Henry doesn't seem like he should be complaining about unsafe working conditions.

I found it ironic that HHH went on and on about how he's an old school guy who likes watching two guys beat the hell out of each other, then Raw spent its final half hour on a "vote of confidence" storyline for a guy who's wrestled like two matches in the past year.

Also, I can't even remember the last time Cena wasn't on during the final half hour of Raw. Thank goodness Trips was there as star power to make sure people didn't leave before it ended.

Something else that makes no sense within the storyline:

WWE/F has been besieged with heel authority figures since 1997 -- Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon (with Triple H at that), Eric Bischoff, William Regal, Jonathan Coachman, Vickie Guerrero and to a degree the anonymous Raw GM. Nothing Triple H has done in his few weeks as COO comes close to this shit the heel authorities pulled every week. Yet the only time the roster rebelled like this was right after Steph and Triple H fired Mick Foley, and the Rock threatened to start the World Rock Federation with the rest of the WWF if they didn't bring him back.

Plus everyone was with Triple H when he kicked Miz and Truth out out of the building, even helping throw them out. So why this unrest now? Because Miz and Truth snuck in under the cage at the end of Hell in a Cell? Because Ziggler had to fight Zack Ryder? Because Christian didn't get any more title matches? It's illogical.

The other thing that doesn't make sense with this:

You have two guys who are attacking a few refs and interfering in a couple of matches. I find it hard to believe that the entire company is feeling threatened by two guys.

The "hostile working environment" might have been better done if it happened during the Nexus invasion.

I mean seriously, it's two fucking guys.

And Mark Henry is as much of a problem as them, choking out JR and slamming Lawler through a table. Yet there he is, nodding along with the rest of them. I guess standing against them would flip him face and that's not what you want to do when he's doing his best work ever, but there has to be a way to get Henry and Del Rio to a degree away from this. Why would Del Rio complain? He just won the WWE title!
