For a 6-6 pale white ginger, Sheamus certainly seems to be hanging out with people like him. First Conan, now Beaker.

Santino wins after ingesting a performance-enhancing substance from a lab. Shouldn't this fall under the WWE's Wellness Policy?

    He didn't swallow, so ...

And some of the stuff has been funny.

It's been OK, so far. The two parts I liked were Vicki and Piggy bumping against each other, and Piggy telling Kermit to wipe the grin off his face after Kelly kissed him.

Unlike Kelly Kelly, if you believe the rumors.

Latest Wellness Violation suspendee: Evan Bourne

    http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/244415-breaking-current-wwe-title-holder-suspended-for-30-days

Looks like the tag team titles will be changing hands very soon.

This was kind of like when everyone was hoping to see big names via the Mitchell Report and steroid testing in baseball, and while you sometimes got a Rafael Palmeiro, more often than not the guys actually roiding were the Paxton Crawfords of the world.

I always liked Bourne, and thought they were going to give him a big push about two years ago, right around when ECW was ending... then he got hurt, and he was mostly forgotten when he came back. Love his in-ring work, which reminds me of X-Pac in his prime, but he seemed to get hurt a lot as a result. With this on his docket sheet now, it wouldn't surprise me to see him used sparingly until his contract runs out, and then he's wished his best in future endeavors.

Not only is Bourne suspended for 30 days, he's also grounded for the next three months and has to clean out the garage.

The Evan Bourne link caught me in a moment of boredom, and I ended up randomly clicking one of the message board topics on the website that talked about what would have happened if Sting had initially joined the NWO. There were several statements made that Sting was originally booked to join the NWO at Bash at the Beach but Hogan got involved in the booking, or that Sting was the backup plan in case Hogan backed out.

I'd never heard this before. Is that common knowledge (or at least common knowledge among people who like the behind the scenes stuff) that I just happened to miss?

Loved the Ryder chants last night.

Let's go Ryder ... Woo Woo Woo! Let's Go Ryder. Woo Woo Woo!

    May it catch on quickly.

Sting was always the backup plan in that angle. They wanted to turn Hogan for shock value (and because a lot of the WCW fanbase was booing him anyway), but there was a perceived possibility that the Hulkster would chicken out at the very last minute, so Sting was ready just in case.

I don't remember a lot of the fanbase booing Hogan at that time. But I do remember them having Sting ready as a Plan B in case Hogan backed out at the last minute.

Just think how different things would be if that happened ...

One thing I think doesn't happen: Hogan getting a run with the WWE title in the 2000s. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see that happening if Sting is the one who turns on WCW and joins the nWo.
