I forgot they brought back Mercury for one of those head-shaving segments.

And whatever happened to Serena? Before the head shaving, she was pretty damn good looking.

Answering my own question: Serena is on a doctor-ordered break from wrestling because of concussions.

According to wikipedia, Mercury is retired.

This is a horrible build for TLC. And I get they want those hidden promos to be viral, but you'd think someone would eventually say something about the show getting hacked. I want to see it get bigger than the Twitter blurb in the corner. Cut in during a Kane promo or something. I still have no idea who it will be (hoping Jericho though it seems there are some snags there).

Still, the matches weren't horrible. Nice to see Ryder will get his shot. WWWYKI.

    I liked the Cena-Ryder back-and-forth.

This must be a record for hardest any wrestler's had to try for a U.S Championship shot.

My thing is he's doing all this for a shot at the U.S. title, a belt that doesn't mean near as much what it did back in the day. If the IC title was on Raw, I could understand. But the U.S.?

A few months ago, Kingston and Bourne (welcome back, last night, by the way, if only in a backstage segment) were carrying the tag division and reviving those belts. Then pretty much every tag team vanishes and they have no tag storylines. Ryder and his pursuit of the U.S. at least fills that void, especially during shows with no Cody Rhodes.

And besides, why not build up another belt back to what it was? I'd prefer the WWE, IC, tag and Divas belts, but if you're going to have 'em, you might as well use 'em.

If they brought back one of the old versions of the U.S. belt -- ala Cody bringing back the classic IC title -- I could buy into more ... I guess. I've never been a fan of the design of this belt, and hated when they turned it into a spinner belt for Cena.

And speaking of the spinner belt, I've heard they're thinking of finally changing it.

    Well, crap.

Apparently what I saw was a faked video.

PWInsider.com says there are no plans to change the belt, even though there has been folks pushing for a change.

Cena has said recently that the belt should change.

They've had this design for six years now. Pretty sure that's the longest they've gone between changes -- at least since they got rid of the winged eagle look from the 80s and 90s.
