They gave a bigger clue on Monday to the identity.

Wasn't the word they used "Prophetless" or something. And something about "I can not save you"

    Almost convinced it's Jericho.

I think it's him as well. The end of the promo, the audio kind of blurs together like a remix of his theme song, which I think they did for the saveus.y2j promos as well. If it is him, it'll be interesting to see what kind of character he's playing.

Punk - Jericho at Mania would be epic. EPIC!

I wonder what the plan is for Punk at Mania. Jericho would be pretty good, although I'm not sure how they square it away, since he was kind of playing a more heel-ish version of Punk's character when he left. Personally, I'd like to see Punk vs. Daniel Bryan in a unification bout, since there had been rumors of them merging the belts in the past.

I don't think they'd do that without ending the brand split entirely.

They had a unified champion over two brands before they resplit the titles. It's been a really long time (2002?), but it's possible.

  9. Heard one rumor that it could be Punk/Jericho/Miz in a triple threat match at WM.

If that's the case, then you'd have:
    *Cena/Rock
    *Trips/'Taker II
    *Punk/Jericho/Miz

I'd venture that a Bryan/Barrett or Bryan/Rhodes would be a near certainty unless they lacked a quality foe for Orton, which would then make it Orton/Bryan.

A lot of it will hinge on who gets the Royal Rumble victory. If his groin injury isn't a long-term deal, I suspect Henry will get the title back from Bryan at some point soon, either at the Rumble or EC. That would set up another round of Henry-Sheamus pretty nicely. Big Show could cost Bryan the title, setting up a David/Goliath match.

If they wanted to do something surprising with the Rumble and keep elevating new blood, they could have Brodus Clay finally make his re-debut there and win it. Or at least have him be this year's Diesel and take out 8-12 guys.

There's a lot of bodies and not a lot of space on even a 4-hour card.

Uh, despite what the WWE would have you believe, having HHH-Taker at Mania next year would be the third, not second, time they've fought on the big stage.

And, as far as Orton, I would venture to say that they'll have him go up against either Show (if they do, in fact, turn him heel) or have him go up against someone on the Raw side who's not doing anything better (Del Rio perhaps? Miz?).

It's a shame they already started the Barrett-Orton feud because that could have been a decent little match at Mania. I wonder what they'll have Sheamus doing by the time Mania starts. God willing it won't be battling Jinder Mahal.

I was thinking about that the other day. Let's say the rumors are correct about the matches thus far. That would make the timing something along the lines of:

(10:15-11:00) Main Event: Rock vs. Cena
(10-10:15) Cool Down Match: Divas? Tag Team?
    (9:30-10:00) HHH vs. Taker III
    (9-9:30) Punk vs. Jericho

In that scenario alone, you've only got two hours to fit all of the following on the program: Orton, Del Rio, Show, Bryan, Barrett, Sheamus, Air Boom, Miz, Rhodes, Ziggler, Ryder.

Add in some cheap-ass celebrity gimmick match which we all know is inevitable and at least 1-2 skits and you're really cramming for time.
