I was worried the Wrestlemania host thing would be a giant waste of time, and then they dropped the Rock on us.

He said he was back and wasn't going to be leaving again. I hope that means we'll see some matches, because there are plenty of possibilities that would be amazing (Rock-Cena, Rock-Miz, Rock-Orton, Rock-Edge, Rock-Great Khali...OK, not that last one). In the past, he always shied away from a return because he wanted to concentrate on his movie career. Being back in the WWE could help him out there since, honestly, a lot of his movies were pretty bad.

The promo was awesome. Vintage Rock. I want to see him interact with another wrestler now, like the Rock-Jericho promo when Y2J entered the WWE. Could make for classic stuff.

If they do Rock-Cena, don't be so quick to think it will be Cena as heel. They could play it face vs. face, with Cena getting some heel heat like he does at times already. I can't see them making Cena a full heel for the feud.

Other thought from tonight: the Miz-Bryan match was great. Daniel Bryan should be in the Elimination Chamber for Raw, not R Truth. His talent is being wasted.

Agree on the Bryan in the Elimination Chamber. Start building him up to a higher level. No one, except for the little kiddies, likes R-Truth or expects him to win. Heck, he didn't even get to do his intro tonight. Gee, I wonder why. :)

I think with Rock/Cena, they'll play it off as a face vs. face match, although I can definitely see Cena getting booed out of the dome.

Rock wins, goes away for a short while, then comes back to save Cena from a beatdown. Only, Cena gets POed that the Rock is overshadowing him, and turns on him. Then he uses WM as the excuse for turning on the fans, talking about how he always stood up for what was right, and in the biggest match of his career, the fans showed their gratitude by booing him.

Watched the last hour of Raw. Thought it was meh ... until the end.

Holy freaking shit. That was awesome, and exactly what I've (and all of us here) have missed over the last several years. The Rock at his best, even though he was out of the game for seven years. Holy shit.

This "feud" has been over a year in the making, though. Those two have been going back and forth in the media about facing each other. Finally, we're gonna see who's better -- even though we all know who it is. I hope they build this up the right way, and that they stop censoring Rock when he's on the mic. I know it's supposed to be a PG show, but you don't censor the Rock.

Whether Cena is played as face or heel is irrelevant as the Rock has clearly pointed out that Cena is simply a PG candyass.

I think Rock could give us one, good year-long run before he's ready to be done. The guy's 38, but he's spent more than five years away from the ring, taking care of his body. That's a lot of mileage he doesn't have, unlike a guy like Triple H.

Line of the night goes to my wife. After RAW went off the air, she goes "But what about the general manger? I wanted to know what he had to say..."

    She was joking. (I hope)

My only worry is that he works out the ring rust before Mania. Even if it's off camera.

Oh, and Undertaker is the big return behind 2-21-11? Yawn.

Yeah, they didn't think that through huh?

If it's Taker, wow, yippie, who cares? The Rock came back!

If it's Sting, well, you've got more interest but it's diluted because, again, the Rock came back.

Right now I think the only guy that could make the 2-21 stuff relevant would be Austin but even he hasn't been away long enough for that to be relevant, especially now that the stakes were raised this week.

Good luck now having next week's reveal be a colossal disappointment.

But who cares? The Rock came back! :D

  10. Heard that a potential 'Taker/Trips match would be a streak vs. career, with Trips losing and going to help run the developmental side of things.

If it is Rock/Cena at WM, where does this leave Miz? Do you go with a Miz/Orton/Punk triple threat match or extend the Miz/Lawler feud with that match being King's sign-off with WWE?

Kinda wish The Rock came back in Toronto. "Stronger than a bull, faster than a buck...the biggest thing to hit Canada because the Maple Leafs suck!"

I was thinking that last night. Rock mentioned both Miz and Cena. Maybe it'll be Miz/Cena with Rock as the referee? Meh. Everyone would rather see Rock/Cena.
