This also makes the return of Shawn Michaels for the HOF ceremony seem completely diminished as well.

But that's their problem. Having the Rock back is easily worth the ancillary damage.

That was incredible. Since I've started following again in the last few years, the only time I've sat at the edge of my seat was the night Miz cashed in the MITB briefcase to win the WWE title. I about fell out of my chair when Rock's music hit. I've gotten so used to the promos we see on a regular basis that was it kind of shocking to see someone deliver at the level he did.

My guess is Miz vs. Cena with the Rock as referee at WM. But however it turns out, this was one hell of a get for Vince. If the WWE's goal was to find someone that would guarantee additional PPV buys, mission accomplished.

If it's not Cena vs. The Rock at WrestleMania ... next year's WrestleMania ... they've failed.

So, yeah. Book it for Elimination Chamber.

We're getting way ahead of ourselves here. Yes, the Rock said he was back, but he didn't say for how long, and he didn't say he was going to wrestle.

I expect him to just come out for pops and jokes at WM, and that pretty much is it.

It will surprise me to see if he's there beyond WM.

Sure seemed to me like he was saying he's back for real. Not that he couldn't be lying just for the story or whatever.
Everyone always loved Rock-Austin, and yeah Rock-Cena would be in that vein, but my favorite was always Rock-Jericho, and Rock-Miz would be more like that.

What do you mean "if?" I thought the shot we got was clear that it was Taker.

I have a personal story, a front row story, about how great of a heel Bubba Ray can be.

I must admit, I marked out last night. I didn't have anyone spoil it. I heard the people in the crowd chanting his name but I was like "They'll never get him back" so I was prepared for it to be Stephanie.

When the music hit. Wow. Damn the guy still is king of the mic. Favorite part though is when Cole got up for the GM bit. I thought to myself "No one interrupts the Rock", remembering when Jericho debuted and interrupted him. And, of course, Rock laid the smack down on Cole. Fantastic.

    Other notes:
Lawler vs. Riley - Book it already for Mania. Riley said he'd "make sure" that Miz wouldn't lose the title Sunday.

If they don't do Sheamus vs. HHH at Mania I'll be more than a little miffed. I mean c'mon, it's been set up for a long time and Haitch will want to forget about "The Chapherone" as quickly as we all will want to.

I hope they show the beginning of the EC with R Truth getting beat up by Nexus and someone else taking his spot. Send the guy back to TNA already!

2-21-11 is definitely Taker. They gave that much away last week when they included the Johnny Cash song on it.

So I guess whoever comes out and interrupts Taker, or whatever, will be the Streak opponent. If they don't do Sheamus-HHH, I can see Sheamus as the opponent. He's already taken out HHH, why not take out another star past his prime.

Didn't the old Nexus help Kane bury Taker alive to send him packing?

I figured that angle was supposed to play into Taker's WM return. It could have, at one time, have been Barrett-Taker at WM, but the way one hand doesn't know what the other is doing and booking angles on the fly leave a lot of holes.

Knowing the WWE it'll be Kane v Taker for the billionth time.

Lost in all The Rock hype was how good a match Miz-Bryan put on.
