I see Trips and Taker stole part of my idea for Sting/Taker.

Don't say a word. Just look at the WM sign. Throat slash. Done.

Except for that little crotch-chop. That I didn't have in my script.

Loved the no-words exchanged promo but really hate the plotholes the WWE writers have just sidestepped. Why the Nexus feud for Taker? Why no retaliation from HHH to Sheamus?

But, hey, it's Mania. Let's just focus on that, K?

I'm down with that if, and only if, we also get rid of the pre-Royal Rumble "chaos breaks out into the ring" moment that happens at the end of every Raw and every Smackdown right before the Rumble each and every year.

It's weird seeing Miz wrestling as a babyface.

    I second the motion.

Pretty good Raw, although the main event had a weird visual vibe for me.

Good thing it didn't last long, then.
Fun Raw. I liked the twist on the rivals-turned-champs theme and it's great to see Miz finally looking strong. He got the clean win over Lawler and the clean win in the first half of the tag match. It's time they finally started building him up as a legitimate champion.
Cena's opening rap was awesome. I'm looking forward to the war of words between he and Rock. Probably the bes promo guy of this generation against the best ever. Should be fun.

I have no problem with Taker-HHH for Mania. Neither guy really needs an excuse to go after the other, do they? Trips wants to take his shot at the streak, Taker looks at him and says "what the hell." Game on (no pun intended).
The storyline holes are a little confusing, though. Last we saw Undertaker he was under about 20 feet of dirt. Now he's in the cabin from "Lost"? Does that mean Triple H is dead, too? Or will be dead? Or just his career is dead and he's trying to revive it?

Looks like we've got our four main events. Now to put some guys in the MITB (gotta think Morrision is an even-money favorite at this point), throw together the random 5-minute Divas match and another goofy time-filler, then add one more solid mid-card match. I was going to try and stay away this year, but I've gotta say I'm in. They're pulling out all the stops and really clicking right now.

I'd say the card right now is:

Main event: Cena vs. Miz (C) w./ Rock as the special ref
Trish Stratus and Kelly Kelly vs. LeCool (Or Kelly Kelly vs. Vickie Guerrero, depending on how they go)
    The Undertaker vs. HHH
Edge (C) vs. Alberto Del Rio
    Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole
    CM Punk vs. Randy Orton
Natalya and Eve vs. The Bella Twins
Wade Barrett vs. The Big Show
Money in the Bank: John Morrison, Sheamus, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Kane, Jack Swagger
    Santino/Kozlov vs. Justin Gabriel/Heath Slater

Throw in your Hall of Fame dedication ceremony, a musical performance by Justin Bieber (God I hope not) and the National Anthem, and there's your four hours.

I think you've gotta find a place for Mysterio in the MITB. Maybe in place of Swagger or Kane.

So what's the over-under on when he rips his next quad?

So is Lawler leaving the mike after WM?

No idea. Can't imagine he can work for long, so if he left the announce table, it'd be for a backstage job or out the door, perhaps to get another 5 percent of the vote in the next Memphis mayoral election.

Cole's in a weird spot. His heel gimmick has potential, but not from the PBP spot, because it just ruins everything, especially now that he's gone from Miz superfan to generic "yay bad guys boo good guys" announcer. Problem is, he wouldn't make a good manager, and it's not like the Miz needs a mouthpiece. Perhaps if this Lawler-Cole match comes off, Lawler beats the hell out of him and sends him off camera for a few months, he rehabilitates his character and comes back as an announcer or authority figure.

Old-school MMII would prefer to see Lawler-Riley, Cole in a little cage at ringside and if Lawler wins, he gets five minutes with Cole.
