The cocky pin is awesome. I wonder if you can actually beat a guy with it - it seems like an auto-move meant just to boost your move meter up a bunch. As KY says, you can still do it on SD vs. Raw 05 or 06, whatever the last version of the game is before his comeback. I have it and stubbornly refuse to upgrade, since I like the game and the roster better than all of the newer versions. (Benoit! Jericho! Guerrero! The Rock, three versions of Hogan, Andre the Giant, Bret Hart... Pretty much all of my favorites except John Morrison.)

I used to find it funny that when the Big Bossman would beat jobbers, he'd pin them with one finger.

I'd always wonder if there was ever a jobber that got pissed off by that and decided to lift his shoulder up.

Probably because Bossman would have shot on that guy bad.

In one of the WCW-heavy biographies (Flair? Foley?), the writer tells a story where the Midnight Express was scheduled to wrestle a couple of local jobbers at the WTBS studios. One of the jobbers had a big head and demanded to Dusty Rhodes, the booker at the time, that he be called Blue Thunder. Dusty instead tagged him Wee Willie Winkie. Anyhow, they have the match, ME wins, but Winkie kicks at one of the MEs after being pinned. So they beat him up some more. Then he does it again. Then they lose their shit and fuck him up for reals.

That's why you don't see jobbers going into business for themselves; that and it'd get you blacklisted post haste

[blue]Best of luck in your future endeavors, Sheamus.[/blue]

Well, okay, not completely. But it seems like he's not going to be getting a feud with Triple H anytime soon.

  5. Yea. They didn't even let the poor fella cut a promo before he got squashed by trips.

A little bit of a promo for Mistico, as the WWE mentions the headlines and press conference for his signing.

Speaking of Jericho, he was introduced as part of the cast for this season's Dancing With the Stars. That should be fun. Hopefully it goes better than "Celebrity Duets."

Well, there answered our questions about how they were going to resolve HHH/Sheamus. At least they acknowledged it, rather than just expecting fans to forget about the whole thing.

The Rock rules, of course. I liked how he brought up his family wrestling heritage as the reason why he felt insulted by Cena.

Cage match was fine for what it was. I thought it would have been funny had Cena stomped on the cell phone. But oh well. Now, we've got to figure out what's going to happen with Riley. Maybe he'll be the ref for Cole/Lawler.

Not a bad show. Good promos from HHH and Rock. Cena's jokes were a little flat.

Not a bad Raw, but Cena absolutely sucked.

Michael Cole still sucks (and I'm a fan of mostly heels). Loved when Lawler called him "Michael Cole-sore."

Waiting for Cole to announce himself as "Stone Cole."

Speaking of, can't wait for Stone Cold to make his return.

    Rock, well, Rocked.

Didn't care for the Lawler-Cole-Thwagger angle. The ankle lock reeked of Kurt Angle. The last thing your gimmicks are meant to do is make the fans think about the opposition.

If Trips beats Taker at Mania, I'll be majorly pissed. What an asshole. I was really hoping he would tear another quad when he was beating on Sheamus.

Just had to pop in and say that Rock promo was incredible. Not sure about the supposed backstage heat between him and Cena, but that promo sure seemed more "real" than most. The passion that spilled out during that segment showed that slogan on his shirt wasn't just an empty promise.

My reaction to the Swagger thing is that at least they have him doing something at Wrestlemania. I still think he's got potential, but they're just treating him as an afterthought right now.
